Why do atheists insist on codifying their morality into the law while attacking others who do the same?

Not all atheists do that, of course, but the concept is:

"My morality is more justifiable than your morality because mine is not based on religious belief."

That is, of course, an entirely illogical position to hold.

To put it bluntly, that is a stupid question. How can a population of people who make up less than 15% of the United States’ total population be responsible for any changes to the law? This is a democracy, which means that even if all atheists voted yeah for a bill, it could still be overridden by the Christian population.

Your logic (if one can really call it logic), is severely flawed.

So the so-called "Christian moraliity", which is rife with discrimination, sexual abuse, bigamy, adultery, etc (you watch the news don't you?? Your "christian nation" is very prevalent there) is what you prefer?

But you have something against two people who love each other, forming a bond that you have no part of.

Morality does not come from your god.....it comes from Normative Ethical Theories such as Utilitarianism.....doing what is right for the overall good. Try it sometime.

Society deems what is moral and they do it through secular means. They always have. The morality of the Bible is shear myth, not to mention, has some pretty notable egregious ideals of morality.

If two brothers wanted to get married, I really would not care. I object to most everything in your Bible and will continue to do so.

Seeing how there's never been an atheist majority in the Congress OR Senate, your assertion that atheists have ever been able to dictate law is ridiculous.

A law usually includes a prohibition.

We just want to rid the society of needless prohibition.

This is slightly insulting as morality imposed into law is a religious tradition.

If atheists do anything they help prevent people from harming themselves in such a way.

Are you getting worried that everything may not be in your complete favour in the future?

Do you have a heavy heart? You could always try keep praying to your god and make you feel better.

Atheism has no moral code associated with it. We go along with society's morals in general.

There is no "atheist morality." Atheism is the lack of belief in deities. That is all.
