Perfect game versus 20 strikeout game?

I've always said the perfect game (although and amazing feat) is a team accomplishment. How many have been saved by the amazing play of someone other than the pitcher. But the 20 strikeout game is accomplished by the pitcher dominating the opposing lineup.

There have been 20 perfect games, 18 since 1900.

There have been three 20 strikeout/9 inning games.

My question is...

If you are a major league pitcher which accomplishment would you rather have? The perfect game or the 20 strikeout game?

NOTE: Randy Johnson threw a perfect game and had 20 strikeouts in 9 innings of an 11 inning game.

Update:

*To Mike- Are you serious. There are 6 times as many perfect games (18) versus 20 strikeout/9 inning games (3) and 2 pitchers accomplished this feat, Roger Clemens twice and Kerry Wood.

Guys like Dallas Braden, Mark Buehrle, Tom Browning, Mike Witt, Len Barker and Charlie Robertson (career record of 49-80) have perfect games.

I'll take the 20 strikeout game. Chances are your team wins that game anyways because you dominate and it's more rare so it must be harder. It takes a little luck to get a perfect game, but 20 strikeouts there is no luck, just a lot of guys looking stupid.

Perfect game, one of the best feeling you might have as a pitcher. but looking at 20 strike outs/9 innings, thats THE BEST feeling as a pitcher, I know people say its a team effort to have a perfect game not necessarily, a no-hitter is accomplished as working as a team, But if the pitcher walks a batter the perfect game is gone, so only a no-hitter can be accomplished as a team. But we are not talking about team work or not, over here we want only the pitcher, so i my opinion if i was a pitcher, which btw i would newer be even if everyone except me lost their hands. i would rather have 20 Ks because that shows total domination, and the manager, crowd, and your team will really appreciate you keeping the ball between the pitcher and the catcher. so i would go with 20Ks/9 ings.

    Perfect game without hesitation.

Many pitchers can throw hard and are capable Of striking out 20 on a given day.

I think with that many perfect games happened in recent seasons, I think I will pick 20 strike outs over a perfect game because perfect games start getting a bit overrated. Both are very nice record but striking out so many people requires both pitcher’s stamina and pure stuff. That is just simply rare comparing to strategy pitching and defence reliability.

Baseball is a team sport so as a team player I'd take the perfect game any day.
