Is it normal to have a missed cycle almost 2 yrs after Tuba ligation?

I had my TL 12/17/08 and I have been getting my cycle every 30 days until last monthly. I had my last cycle on 06/29/10 meaning I should have had my next one 07/29/10. On 07/24/10 I started having mild nausea and over the past few weeks it got so bad I had to go to the ER on yesterday. I am wondering is it normal to miss a cycle or two after TL? Pregnancy test was negative so now I am wondering what could possibly be wrong?

Update:

FYI: The put a plastic band over my tubes so they are not burned and clipped!

There could be a million possibilities. You covered the obvious - pregnancy (it has happened!) so perhaps diet change, weight change, stress, and a variety of other things can cause your period to be late. Sometimes we just have an "off" cycle. The month I got married, I went 63 days without my period and started 2 days before my wedding. I would check with your gynecologist and see what s/he says at this point. Good luck and I hope it all turns out ok!

I had my tubes tied since March of last year. My period aren't normal either. Here a example to explaing my easier. I had a period March and April and I skipped the month of May. Then I had a period June and July. Right now I am waiting for my period to show up. I am due today or tomorrow. But my never shows up on time.

I know someone got their tube tied and 5 years later she got pregnant and has a baby. And her tube were tied.

Tubes can get untied and heal back together.

If you are sick from something, anything really, your body is under stress. A body under stress doesn't function normally. Everything can get wacked out of cycle, including your menstrual cycle.
