What is the living water that Jesus spoke about?

John 4:10-14 (King James Version)

10Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

11The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?

12Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

13Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:

14But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Blessings to all. Then He showed me the river whose waters give life, sparkling like crystal, flowing out from the throne of God and of the Lamb. (Revelation 22:1 -..... The living water is symbolized by God's Word the Bible which we are required to read daily in order to be refreshed for our dealings in everyday life. Just as we are required to drink literal water daily in order to stay alive (without water, a person will literally die within a matter of days) likewise, spiritually, we need to drink life's water, that is, God's Word the Bible, daily in order to remain spiritually alive and to inherit eternal life. In Revelation 22: 17, Jesus speaks, The Holy Spirit and the bride say, 'Come! And let him who is listening say, Come! And let everyone come who is thirsty; and whoever desires to do it, let him come, take, appropriate and drink the water of Life without cost. In this Scripture we are encouraged to drink Life's living water and to act upon what we have learned by applying the principles found in God's Word to our daily life. Without actively participating in applying God's Word and without being doers of God's Word, then we cannot become refreshed by this spiritual living water which Jesus offers.

Hence a Christian must be active, actively seeking God and to do His Will; not passive listeners. In James 1:22 Christians are admonished to become doers of God's Word . To be a doer means to observe the principles laid down in this Holy book and to participate in carrying out God's Will. Indeed, when individuals are depressed, God's Word speaks consolingly and provides comfort. When faced with trials, God's Word gives encouragement, strengthening individuals to endure and to go through them with the help of God's Holy Spirit. Also, if faced with a decision that a Christian may need to make the Bible offers guidance, again, through God's Holy Spirit. Moreover, the Bible instructs Christ's followers on how to treat other people, to display fruits of the Spirit through kindness, patience, love, joy, peace, goodness, gentleness, self-control and faithfulness (Galatians 5:22-23). Therefore, in all our dealings with other people we are required to apply these character traits. The Holy Spirit motivates and guides us to displaying these qualities as it guide us to Life's springs of Living water.

For all those who hunger and thirst for righteousness they will be satisfied, as promised by Jesus in Matthew 5. Indeed, Jesus guarantees that everyone who continues in God's Word will have spiritual prosperity and a joy-filled life with infinite blessings now and in the Life that is to come. Therefore, may we all be guided by the fine Shepherd (the Lamb) to the springs of the waters of life and to actively drink Life's Living Water, which will eternally refresh us and sustain us spiritually, until we are able to meet Christ when He returns

Jesus was at a well when he made that statement to a Samaritan woman (John 4:7). He was alluding to the Proverb which says, (Proverbs 18:4) "The words of a man's mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook." Water is used to represent the righteous word of wisdom and knowledge. Thus, Revelation 22:17 "And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely." John 6:63 "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." Did you get that? The words he speaks are spirit. Therefore, John 4:14 "whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." John 17:3 "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." Compare the Bible in Basic English version: John 17:3 "And this is eternal life: to have knowledge of you, the only true God, and of him whom you have sent, even Jesus Christ." Ephesians 5:25  Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26  That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27  That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. By this we also know that the following verse of Revelation refers to this world's poisoned sources of knowledge and wisdom: Revelation 8:11 "And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter."

Living water: In ancient times, they called spring water living water because it seemed "alive" as it bubbled up from the ground. At first glance, it might seem that Jesus tells this woman about a nearby active spring. But Jesus makes a play on words with the phrase "living water," because He means the spiritual water that quenches our spiritual thirst and gives life.

Water of Life is the true words of God allowing us to get Eternal Life. So basically the water of life is eternal life

    See a Mated verse here:

Rev 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Revelation is about the last days so you can see in the last days not just Christ is giving eternal life but you must go to the Spirit (Holy Spirit aka 2nd Coming Christ) AND the Bride so even now water of life is given but not just by Jesus any more.

you know, if someone stopped you on the street and talked to you like this, you would run away screaming thinking it was a crazy man who was going to rape you and steal your purse.

    It's Astral Water...

The Firmanent was water-shield over the capitol city of Lemuria- Minara in present-day Australia.

it regulated the season over Earth; except that it stretched half-way to the moon...

It is not drinkable water- but magnetic and scintillating- it looks like rainbow star-dust.

    I know b/c I work with it.

So in summary- Immaculate Water poored in fountains in all the great temples of Atlantis/Lemuria before the Great Flood.

Here's what, because I use that Scripture at the bottom here:

Jesus said, "unless one is born (of God making men his sons through faith in Christ's work) again (from above, from a higher place, of things which come from heaven or God), he cannot see (know, perceive, discover, to ascertain what must be done about it, to experience any state or condition) the kingdom (of the royal power and dignity conferred on Christians in the Messiah's kingdom) of God." (John 3:3) Basically, being born again means you have a new kind of life, born from above, by the Holy Spirit. Praise the Lord, born again Christians will see God's kingdom.

John 3:5 - Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is BORN OF WATER AND THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter the kingdom of God." ~ Note: Some people think this "born of water" means water baptism, but that is not correct. Some poeple think this "water" means physical birth, but that is not correct either.

    Here's what it means:

Jesus used the Old Testament imagery of "water" and "wind" (wind is an alternate translation of Spirit - v.8) to refer to the work of God from above...

Isaiah 44:3,4 - "For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring; they will spring up among the grass like willows by the watercourses."

Ezekiel 37:9,10 - Also He said to me, "Prophesy to the breath, prophecy son of man, and say to the breath, 'Thus says the Lord God: "Come from the four WINDS, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live." ' " So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.

These are both OT prophesies of what born of water and the Spirit mean. Glory to God. It's also in the New Testament:

John 4:14 - "but whoever drinks (to receive into the soul what serves to refresh & strengthen & nourish it into life eternal) of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life." ~ Note: This is being born of water = the power of God inside you.

He was talking of the Holy Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given since Jesus had not yet been glorified.

It's simply salvation. Just like we need water for physical sustenance to live, this living water symbolizes a spiritual sustenance necessary for eternal life.
