Why are the democrats blaming republicans for bills not passed when they do not need their vote?

they continually call them the party of no - could it be that they know these bills are bad and are worried about getting elected again?

read the link below -

When Barack Obama took control of the White House he had everything going for him. He had majorities in the House and Senate that were so large the minority party could not stop any legislation. Infighting among Democrats and the desire to protect vulnerable seats are the only reasons that legislation did not pass. The Democrats, and only the Democrats, are responsible for any failures to achieve Obama’s agenda. Republicans could not stop them. The Democrats blame Republicans and call them the party of “No” but the Republicans were not needed to get anything passed. Democrats blame Republicans for not supporting issues that would hurt America and allow Democrats to claim bipartisanship. it is almost comical as they are in charge.

Update:

i know what a filibuster is, it is unfortunate it was not used more to stop the insane spending that will bankrupt this country.

The dramatic increase in government spending has not shortened the nation’s unemployment lines.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate in June 2010 was 9.5 percent, which

is essentially the same as June of last year.

some projects accomplished such questionable goals as putting

in new windows at a vacant government building, replacing a new sidewalk with an even newer one, or

money for a park that is only accessible by boat or plane.

They need to focus on jobs not wasteful spending.

Taxpayers are paying for one broken down train station twice. The

Glassboro train station was built in 1860 and closed in 1971.

They would have to admit that people in their own party were opposing them.

First of all, the Democrats have not had a filibuster-proof majority in the senate since Obama took office. So in theory, the Republicans (with one independent) could filibuster a bill even if every Democrat voted for it.

However, there are always going to be people who don't vote along party lines. So if a bill fails because 5 Democrats and 45 Republicans voted against it, it's safe to say that the Republicans blocked it, because they constituted the majority of the opposition.

particular it somewhat is an excellent and in no way-ending slander marketing campaign against Republicans. Democrats blame Republicans for each thing -- even stuff that went to hell that Democrats are one hundred% in charge for and not a Republican in sight. Democrats continuously blame Republicans to demonize them. Democrats define being "bi-partisan" as "doing in spite of the Democrats want." So while you at the instant are not doing precisely and basically what the Democrats want, then you definately are not being "bi-partisan." the authentic reason Democrats want "bi-partisan" help is that it makes it plenty greater handy for Democrats to show The Fickle Finger of Blame at somebody else whilst the Democrat scheme collapses and fails miserably in a while. The Democrat physique of innovations is to trick some Republicans into being "bi-partisan" and helping them bypass what the Democrats want, then blame the Republicans who voted with them whilst this gadget crashes. enormously slick, huh?

  • It is called using Parliamentary Procedures and the Filibuster. And Republicans know that they are using them to block and stall Bills in both the House and Senate. But since they have been trying to use them on each and every bill and appointee they have lost the "Plausible Deni-ability" that had been the hallmark of Congress. Now, since the Republicans have over used them they have lost the ability to claim "I did not Do it".

In the House they don't, in the Senate, they need 1 vote. They just need people mad so they go out and vote democrat. If one republican votes for their bills in the senate, when it fails they can blame it on the republicans.

First of all there's a rule that democrats live by, never blame other democrats for problems in the party blame republicans.

    You couldn't be more correct; however, Pelosi and co. are betting on you NOT understanding that;

remember: we are just the "unwashed masses", stupid and incompetent even to run our own lives -

we need to be told what temp to set our thermostats at, we need to be told what car to buy and drive, hell, we even need to be told what foods and drinks to consume.

I was watching the news yesterday when a weather guy broke in with an "alert". This was his message from the HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES DEPT, KATHLEEN SEBELIUS:

"It will be terribly hot today, and so we need to remind all of you to stay in a cool place and drink plenty of liquids....perferably water".

DO YOU NEED TO BE TOLD TO SEEK COOL WHEN ITS 97 DEGREES OUTSIDE?? DO YOU NEED SOMEONE TO TELL YOU TO DRINK WATER WHEN YOU FEEL TERRIBLY HOT???????

They are creating a NANNY STATE. Otherwise, we wouldn't be smart enough to pour water out of a boot before putting it on, or to come in out of the rain. I COULD PUNCH ALL OF THEM IN THE FACE, I'M SO ANGRY........

Easy, when the President blames former president Bush the congress follows his lead and blames those darn Republicans. They do not want to take responsibility for their actions is really why.
