how can i renew a friendship?
i'm sorry for my poor english but no1 on french answers would answer seriously
in high school i was very popular and had a lot of friends, all of those friends used to make fun of a lonely little guy (let's name him X) in our school, but I instead of making fun of him i went to him and talked with X. Me and X became best friends really fast, i lost my reputation as the ''cool guy'' and all my old friends made fun of me and X instead of just him, but i wouldn't care, because i had found a true friend... years passed and me and X grew up really close. in july 2007 he had a family party at his place and he invited me since he was alone, there i met his cousin... me and his cousin fell in love instantly and have been going out since then. it's been 3 years now... and X and me doesn't speak anymore. every time I call him to do something he finds an excuse to not go.
Is he mad because i've been dating his cousin?
Is he aware that we love each other and after 3 years maybe he should get over it?
Does he realise that i ruined my reputation, and i had to see psychologists because i was so laughed at?
should i just give up on him?

There is only two plausible explanations in opinion: 1. He's a really busy guy and has a lot of stuff to do OR 2. When you fell in love with his cousin he might of gotten a little jealous or pissed off that you didn't spend time with him anymore and he felt like his cousin replaced him so he doesn't feel like chilling with you anymore since he felt like you abandoned him. That's just my 2 cents though. I wouldn't give up on him but you gotta look at it from his perspective.

no you have said yourself that you finlay find a true friend .you were best Friends since then best Friend don't do things to ruin their friendship he doesn't like you to be in love with his cousin i know it's love but you have to talk with x and ask his opinion about this issue because first of you to (you and cousin) must tel him about your friendship because you 2 were meet each Other in his party by his invitation
go talk to X satisfy him about this falling in love continue your friendship with him cheer him up he'll understand try to be kind if he refused to meet you at park or anywhere else , just drop by without notes ,force him to listen to you
and Don't Give Up On HIM after all he was your BEST FRIEND!
