When gay marriage is inevitably legalized?

Who will will benefit from the ridiculously lopsided rules of divorce? Traditionally the woman got everything and the guy was blamed for everything no matter what. Now if it's two women who do they blame? Who gets the stuff? Or if its two guys how do they divide the stuff? Does the more effeminate male get the bounty?

Religion probably has a lot to do with most people's views. In all honestly, I'm not all for gay marriage, mainly for scientific reasons meaning, if everyone were gay, how will the human race reproduce and evolve. But since that isn't a problem right now, and since i'm very open to the constitution of the united states, I'm compelled to let it be. Time and time again we allow the rights of those in protest be trampled over simply because the majority wishes it to be, even though the wishes of our founders forbid it. If you view my profile, you'll see I've answered against my own belief's simply because of this fact. I may not support many of the things I've stood by, but its only because politicians use this majority of support to make money, while the minority suffers. If two gay persons want to marry, I really don't care, so long as they don't impose it on me and don't impose it on my kids. Truth is, i've seen people show up at my door trying to impose their religion on my family, i've never seen a gay person try to impose their sexual-ism in that manner. The constitution, you know, the thing that politicians, wipe their butts with, don't look at it that way, they look at majority and majority only because that is what wins elections. I'm an independent, however the republican party is more prone to use religion to stand by their political motives, to answer your question. Not saying the other side can't do the side, just more likely. What people do in their own home is their own business so long as they don't try to include my family in on it, and this doesn't just apply to sexuality, it applies to religion, politics and several other factors involving the pollution of an education of an American. In today's times, I am seeing the constitution of the united states being violated nearly every single day, considering this, despite my scientific concerns, i'm compelled to stand by gay rights regardless of the fact that i'm straight, and I encourage others to do the same. I do this solely to preserve the laws in which our nation was founded on, and not the loopholes in which our elected politicians strive hard to cash in on for power, money and conquest. I don't remember reading about gay rights in the constitution, so leave it alone. They want to marry, what is it to you? Oh Yeah, its MONEY and VOTES! Get over it, your time is limited as society is learning your ways. Get over it, its only a matter of time until education conquers the green of politics. The constitution was never meant to favor the majority over the minority, it was meant to favor equal rights, period. It's ashame politicians have twisted it to mean something else in their favor.

These are in them self lopsided views on how settlement works.

My brother was one of the men who was what you call a victim of these lopsided rules. His ex wife took their three girls and so ended up with almost everything.

I asked him why he did not seek to have custody of this girls and he said that is silly, a man is not best equipped to raise girls. (In reality he did not want the responsibility.)

In other words he let himself be screwed over. No sympathy from me now days as his girls are now adults and pay him little attention. This is because as happens in many cases, he in the eyes of his children was just the money bag if they needed to buy things. They stopped calling on him with personal issues.

As for the same sex connection. The answer is simple.

If there are no children it will be a 50/50 split. Exactly as is the case in mixed sex marriages with out children.

If there are children, as with mixed sex marriages, the person who takes on the children will get the majority of the assets.

Its only women that benefit because they are not the typical breadwinners (in this case it would dictate that the higher paid man/woman is hurt more by the ruling) or because children are more likely to go with the mother and they will need child support and what not. This would be an interesting debate and only time will tell how they start favoring children in these cases.

Perhaps gay marriage will lead to a more equalized practice in divorce. Being the skeptic that I am, I think that it will probably boil down to the question of who has the better lawyer.

Not sure any one really benefits from divorce but it would be for the court to decide.

Well, if there is no way to base something on gender, then they will actually have to look at the case.

I guess you gays will just have to figure that crap out for yourselves. Maybe you can have a cat fight in the middle of court proceedings. Either way, why should anyone on Y/A give a damn. That's your problem. You wanted marriage and all its bliss ? You get the crap along with it too.
