Yes. For too long the GOP gave up its principles in favor of votes. It walked along a terrible path of fiscal irresponsibility, both its own wasteful spending and allowing democrats to push terrible policy through. The GOP is indeed partly to blame.

He was FIRED by Reagan EARLY in Reagans first term for a reason.

The current Republicans in power are so nihilistic that they will destroy even their own heroes in order to continue to ignore reality a little longer. If things get worse, they will turn on on Bush too.
