Christian challenge? Can you prove god?
Okay, now I want to challenge the Christians out there. Can you prove to me god exists?
I want proof, nothing about "faith". Actually no, no proof, just evidence. Do you have any evidence god exists? I will convert to being a Christian if you can give me any evidence that I don't find ridiculous.
The following is NOT proof of god.
1. Telling me I'm going to hell or badmouthing me.( Your just proving you have no proof)
2. Saying the bible is a perfect book. (It has many contradictions and historical errors)
3. Telling me about a personal experience with god. (people have claimed to have been abducted by aliens, I don't believe them why should I believe you?)
4.Trying to disprove evolution. ( If you were to theoretically disprove 150 years of scientific research that would still not prove a god.)
Here you may find this inspirational:
Peter 3:15 (New International Version)
But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect
I would like to point a feel more things out. The first is, I can't disprove unicorns; that doesn't mean they exist. Your the ones who believe in him so your the ones who have to answer for what you believe in. Also the second law of thermodynamics only applies to a closed system. The earth is not a closed system. It has the sun to apply energy.
Jerry mack I happen to find the Aztecs more interesting than the Jews. And didn't the Egyptians also happen to re-form the nation in 1922 when they broke free from the UK after thousands of years of occupancy.
Just thought I'd add in I've read the bible quite a few times. I was once a pastor.

Now and again human beings are prompted to ask themselves some of life’s truly profound questions. In the quiet darkness of the night, when far off stars twinkle in the vast, majestic sky, or in the cold, hard, light of day when life rushes past like a speeding train, people of all colours, races and creeds wonder about the meaning of their existence. Why are we here? What does this all mean? Is this all there is?
On magnificent days filled with sunshine and iridescent blue skies, people turn their faces towards the sun and contemplate its beauty. In the deepest winter or the wildest storm, they ponder the strength inherent in the forces of nature. Somewhere in the deep recesses of the mind, the concept of God arises. The wonders of creation are a call to the heart and the soul. The gentle touch of a snowflake, the smell of freshly cut lawn, the soft patter of raindrops and fierce wind of a hurricane are all reminders that this world is full of wonder.
When pain and sadness threaten to engulf us, human beings are again prompted to contemplate the meaning of life. In the midst of suffering and grief, the concept of God arises. Even those who would consider themselves far from religion or spiritual belief find themselves looking skywards and pleading for help. When the heart constricts and fear swamps us, we turn helplessly towards some sort of higher power. The concept of a God then becomes real and meaningful.
In the midst of pleading and bargaining, the sheer vastness of the universe is laid bare. The reality of life is filled with awe and wonder. It is a rollercoaster ride. There are moments of great joy, and periods of immense sadness. Life can be long and monotonous or it can be carefree. As God arises and His majesty is clear, more questions begin to take shape. One question that inevitably comes to mind is – where is God?
Around the world and down through the ages people have struggled to come to terms with the question of where God is. The human inclination is to search for God. The ancient Babylonians and Egyptians built lofty towers in their search for God. The Persians looked for Him in fire. Still other, such as the indigenous people of North America and the Celtic people looked for God in the glorious signs of nature around them. Buddhists find God in themselves, and in the Hindu religion, God is believed to be in every place and in everything.
The quest for God can be confusing. When posing the question where is God, the resulting answers can also be confusing. God is everywhere. God is in your heart. God is where goodness and beauty exist. What happens however, when your heart is empty and your surroundings are dismal, dirty, and ugly? Does God cease to exist? No! Of course not! Amidst this confusion, the Islamic concept of God is a beacon of light for those stumbling in the darkness.
What Muslims believe about God is clear-cut and simple. They do not believe that God is everywhere; they believe that God is above the heavens. The human need to turn our faces towards the sky in times of trouble and strife is an inherent answer to the question, where is God? God tells us in the Quran that He is the Most High (Quran 2:255) and that He is above all His Creation.
“He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days and then rose over the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). He knows what goes into the earth and what comes forth from it, what descends from the heaven and what ascends thereto. And He is with you (by His Knowledge) wheresoever you may be. And God is the All-Seer of what you do.” (Quran 57:4)
Prophet Muhammad was known to point towards the sky when referring to God. When making supplication to God he raised his hands towards the heavens. During his Farewell sermon, Prophet Muhammad asked the people, “Have I not conveyed the message?” and they said, “Yes!” He asked again, “Have I not conveyed the message?” and they said, “Yes!” He asked a third time, “Have I not conveyed the message?” and they said “Yes!” Each time, he said, “O God, bear witness!” - at the same time pointing up to the sky and then at the people.[1]
God is above the heavens, above His creation. This however does not mean that He is contained by any sort of physical dimensions. God is close, very close, to those who believe in Him and He answers their every call. God knows all of our secrets, dreams, and wishes, nothing is hidden from Him. God is with His creation by His knowledge and power. God is the Creator and the Sustainer. Nothing comes into existence except by His will.
When Muslims marvel at the wonders of the universe they are secure in the knowledge that God, the Most High, is above the heavens, and comforted by the fact that He is with them in all their affairs. When a Muslim is struck by loss or grief, he does not question God’s wisdom, or ask the question, ‘where was God when I was sad, or grieving or suffering?’ Humankind was created to worship God, (Quran 56:51) and God said many times that trials and tribulations would be part of our life experience.
“And He it is Who has created the heavens and the earth in six Days ...that He might try you, which of you is the best in deeds.” (Quran 11:7)
In their darkest night, or their darkest hour humankind instinctively looks towards the sky. When their hearts beat heavily and fear threatens to overwhelm them, people turn to God. They raise their hands and beg for mercy, forgiveness, or kindness, and God responds; For He is the Most Merciful, the Most Forgiving and the Most Kind. God is distinct and separate from His creation, and there is nothing like Him. He is All Hearing and All seeing. (Quran 42:11) Hence when we ask the question where is God, the answer is undoubtedly, He is above the heavens and above all His creation. We also say that He is not in need of any of His creation and all of creation needs Him..
The true religion would be the one that came from God. I am American and I just became Muslim a few years ago.
Scientific proofs. Go to the link below

The first thing that one should know and clearly understand about Islam, is what the word “Islam” itself means. The Arabic word “Islam” means the submission or surrender of one’s will to the only true God, known in Arabic as “Allah”. One who submits his will to God is termed in Arabic a “Muslim”. The religion of Islam is not named after a person or a people, nor was it decided by a later generation of man, as in the case of Christianity which was named after Jesus Christ, Buddhism after Gautama Buddha, Marxism after Karl Marx, Judaism after the tribe of Judah and Hinduism after the Hindus. Islam (submission to the will of God) is the religion which was given to Adam, the first man and the first prophet of God, and it was the religion of all the prophets sent by Allah to mankind. Further, its name was chosen by God Himself, and clearly mentioned in the final scripture which He revealed to man. In that final revelation, called in Arabic the Quran, Allah states the following:
“…This day have perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion…” (Quran 5:3)
“If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to God), never will it be accepted of him.” (Quran 3:85)
Hence, Islam does not claim to be a new religion brought by Prophet Mohammed into Arabia in the seventh century, but rather to be a re-expression in its final form of the true religion of Almighty God, Allah, as it was originally revealed to Adam and subsequent prophets.
[Quran 3:67] Abraham was not a Jew or a Christian. He was an upright person who had submitted himself to the will of God. Abraham was not a pagan.

I should of put a copyright on my question a few days ago. For the hell of it, I'll pretend to be a theist. God exists. He is in the hearts of us all! My first argument shall be the creation of everything. Where did the Earth come form? Cosmic Dust? Ok..where did that come from? A star? Ok...where did the star come from? An explosion? Ok...where did the explosion come from?.....if you continue to ask yourself this, you will eventually reach a point where you can no longer answer your question. God created the universe! If you think of that, then all those answers are resolved! My second argument.. Do you realize how PERFECT everything is, for us to be alive? -The universe's creation -The Galaxies creation -The solar systems creation -Our planets creation -The moons creation -The sun being the right size, being exactly bright enough, and being the right temperature -Us being the exact right distance from the sun for life -Humans coming to exist! See what I mean? Argument 3: The Bible The Bible is the book of God! He left tangible proof that he exists! This 2,000 page book has the answers to everything your heart could possibly desire.

hahaha, first of all. can you prove there is no god?
and i've had to explain this not too long ago so i don't feel like getting into it but chances of there being life in the universe are VERY slim. just so very very very very very very slim. you can't just throw life on any old rock in the universe and expect them. the conditions for us here on earth are perfect... and i mean PERFECT! there are so many things that are set just right for there to be life on earth. like the distance from the sun. if it was any closer, too hot for life. farther, too cold for life. and the chances of life forming are even more slim. it's hard enough for there to be perfect conditions for life to live but an entirely different for life to be created. i would try to explain why it's so hard but it was a while ago that i learned this and it's too scientific for me to explain.
now, i know that this doesn't completely prove that there is a God. maybe life was just really really really really really really really REALLY lucky, but i believe that someone... some being played a role in setting the dials for making earth perfect for life and increasing the odds of life.
oh, and by your list, it sounds like you think all christians or fundamentalists. that is not the case. there are a lot of christians who believe in evolution. I am one of them. I don't find it possible to disprove evolution since there IS proof that evolution does happen (and more than in just pokemon).
just because you can explain something, doesn't mean God didn't do it. people seem to set science and religion as 2 different things, but i don't. i don't think God just creates things out of thin air. i think he is scientific about the whole thing.
also, this question is kind of stupid. i mean, if any one in any religion had proof that there was a God or that their religion was right, wouldn't we ALL believe in that religion?
Source(s): lots and lots and lots of thought. (although i'm still debating if i'm a Catholic. I was raised Catholic. although i'm still trying to figure out if i believe that Jesus was the son of God... I actually just recently finally, with out a doubt in my mind, decided that I believe in God. I wasn't very sure before. sometimes yes, sometimes no) - Anonymous1 decade ago
1st law of thermodynamics. Nothing can only create nothing before the Universe began something must have always existed. ITS ENERGY. Energy is ETERNAL. The 1st law of thermodynamics confirms that. The Law states “Energy cannot be created or destroyed” No beginning or uncreated and no end. That’s the definition of eternal. You also can’t claim that this energy always existed IN the known universe because Science has proven the Universe didn’t always exist. This energy source that was present BEFORE the Universe had to have power beyond anything we could ever imagine. Considering it had it had to transfer its energy unto the TRILLIONS of Stars and Billions of galaxies. A separate ETERNAL energy source that exists OUTSIDE of the universe had to have supplied or transferred its energy onto the universe (because we know the universe didn’t always exist. ) Its not UNRESONABLE to assume this ENORMUS energy was the creator GOD. Listen, we reasonably have 2 options to determine what WAS this powerful always existing energy. It COULD be dumb unconscious, and vague energy source. However this seems extremely illogical considering we can observe complexity, order, and design throughout the universe. The most logical answer would be that and intelligent mind constructed the universe, or a God its as simple as that. If you can’t agree with this logic than you’re stubborn unreasonable, and don’t want to believe in the possible existence in a God. Every example of DUMB energy source(s) that we can observe are volatile, violent, and destructive by nature and will NEVER create organization . Examples : the sun, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes. Sure tornadoes or hurricanes may APPEAR organized but, they will never CREATE organization. Atheists may say " Well, all of the energy in the universe could have derived itself from multiple energy sources, not just a single one".That maybe true, but it still poses a serious problem. Multiple or single unintelligent energy source(s) would most likely result in chaos and disorder.
Atheists may also say " Well, based on the 2nd law of thermodynamics God may eventually disorganize and deteriorate overtime if he is composed of energy". God is composed of energy but not entirely energy. The God I serve is composed of INFINITE INTELLIGENCE as well.
He can certainly be intelligent enough to break the boundaries of the 2nd law and find a way to harness his energy infinitely and NEVER result in disorder. If you can't agree with this explanation, you're putting limits on God which is simply IDIOTIC. "Who created God?" Again, the 1st law confirms energy is eternal. Before the universe began, there must have existed an ORIGINAL, initial, energy source which has ALWAYS existed. This initial, original, energy source IS God. ( GOD IS THE CREATOR WHO IS UNCREATED)
@rsaww07: Wow you really need to study the Laws of thermodynamics O_o.

The proof that God exists and the Bible is true can be found in people of today. They are the Jews. Who are the Jews anyway? They are not a religion, they are not an ethnic group, they are not a nationality, they are not a race. So who are they? The Jews are a family from Abraham through his son Isaac. They are a family that has been around since recorded history and they worship their God through their Bible which is recognized even by atheist theologians as being several thousand years old. Atheist theologians recognize the Jews as an ancient people unlike no other. There is no other example like the Jews in all of human history. They are a peculiar people set apart. An ancient family using an ancient book being mocked, hated and slaughtered. Being driven from place to place yet they never go away, they never get watered down, they never die out, they never waste away through assimilation into other cultures. No matter where they go they are still Jews. Even if they become atheist or Christians they are still Jews. And yet here they are, a family, coming back to their home of Israel in 1948 which was prophesied over 2,600 years ago and now speak their long dead defunct language that they spoke when they left. Who else has ever done anything close to this? What family? What group? In all of human history there is no other example like the Jews. Not one. They are distinct into perpetuity. What people in all of human history keep their distinct identity no matter where they are? No matter what religion they become? No matter what langauge they speak or where they live? No matter what ethnicity or nationality they are? No matter if they become slaves? No matter if they are scattered? No one, no where is like a Jew. Israel has 6 times the domestic gross product per capita than any of its Arab neighbors despite being oil poor. Israel has the most scientists and engineers per capita than any country in the world. The more you look at the history of the Jew and the prosperity of Israel since the Jews came home in 1948 the more it proves out that God prospers the Jews.
Its all about the Jews. Gods chosen people.
The Bible says that people who persecute the Jews will be punished. And indeed they have been.
The great Assyrian Empire persecuted the Jews.
The great neo-Babylonian Empire persecuted the Jews.
The great Phoenician Empire persecuted the Jews.
The great Roman Empire persecuted the Jews.
The powerful Nazi empire persecuted the Jews.
All of these empires have been destroyed. And yet, the Jews are still a nation. Why? Because God had made this promise to the Jews in Genesis 12:2-3 ;
"I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."
The Jews are living proof of God and the Bible. After all, the Bible told us, for example, that:
* Israel would become a nation which happened in 1400 B.C..
* Jerusalem and the Temple would be destroyed which happened in135 AD.
* The Jews would be exiled into slavery which happened from 70-135 AD.
* Israel would become a wasteland.
* The Jews would be scattered worldwide which happened from 135-1900s.
* The Jews would be persecuted worldwide which happened from 135-1900s.
* The Jews would have a worldwide impact which happened from 135-1900s.
* Their identity as a group would be preserved which happened from 135-1900s.
* The Jews would return to their homeland which happened in the1900s, etc).
* The Jews would have Israel again as their own country which happened in1948.
* The Jews would again speak their ancient language now which is the defacto langauge of government in Israel.
All of these things have happened. The Jews are living proof.
When the Jews declared independence for Israel in May 1948, it was the first time in about 2600 years that Israel was both united and independent. Who has ever heard of such a thing? That a country could be reborn after its people had been scattered worldwide for a few thousand years? And even more is that the Bible says that the Jews coming home would coincide with mankind increasing in knowledge and traveling more. And who has ever heard of such a thing - that a country could be reborn in a single day? After a worldwide movement called Zionism began in the 1800s, hundreds of thousands of Jews worldwide began to return to their ancient homeland.
The Biblical End Times events are predicated on the Jews, their homeland Israel and the fight with those that hate them. Who cannot see that Israel is centerpiece of global friction. A country the size of New Jersey.

Very appropriate use of 1 Peter 3:15. Very commendable.
I cannot prove God by human means. At the moment, I can't prove God is real.
In the future however, I can prove God is through a demonstration of miracles. When I receive the Holy Spirit in full measure, I will be able to do great things, such as show people visions of heaven and hell.

Here is some proof for proving the existence of the God Yahweh. The food and hygiene laws written for the human race to follow 4,000 years ago in the book of Leviticus are based on someones working knowledge of the germ theory of disease and the modern human body. How many humans alive on Earth 4,000 years ago could possibly have had a working knowledge of the germ theory of disease and the modern human body to write these food and hygiene laws in Leviticus? You are right 0 did. So I guess that means this advanced scientific knowledge in Leviticus came from no human alive on Earth at the time it was written out and taught to Moses by a God named Yahweh who The Bible is quoting speaking and teaching these food and hygiene laws to a man named Moses.

Well do you actually think the Bible was all made up? If you read it, it makes sense on how to treat people and how to live a good life. And do you think that the whole world (the complex human, animals, plants, cells, atoms, planets, stars, universe, water) could all have happened all by accident?! Faith is believing something that can't always be seen, felt, or heard.
- ohjustforgetitLv 51 decade ago
When you wake up every morning; that's God. By the way, leaving out love, peace, hope, faith removes GOD. God IS love, peace, hope, faith. He had given these tools to us to help us dictate our lives to live for him. If you were not so self seeking and wallowing in darkness, you would understand this. So...in order for you to really appreciate this, you must be saved. If you are not saved and not acknowledged this you will forever have questions. End the questions now and change your life. It is not theoretical nor scientific. It is a personal choice for each individual Spirit to make that choice. Good luck.

God is light.
God is happiness.
God is love.
God is positive energy.
God is warmth.
That is what us Christians believe. And by denying his existence, you deny the existence of all of the things i just listed, which would be...silly, right?
And you need to grow closer to him because a life without light, happiness, love, positive energy, and warmth is not a very good one.

You'll get a lot of "prove He doesn't" answers, but the burden is on them.
