if a cooking recipe calls for super fine sugar, can i substitute with regular sugar?

    You can make superfine sugar by taking regular sugar and run through a blender, a food processor or a coffee grinder for a minute.

    Recipes usually call for superfine sugar because it dissolves a lot easier/faster than regular sugar.

    regular sugar is different from powdered. powdered, and confectionery are more alike than that of the regular. obviously, they're powdery while the regular is rough when touched. so here, hope this helps: If you are out of powdered sugar, put regular sugar in the blender and process on high until it turns powdery. Be sure to stir up the sugar on the bottom a couple of times so it all turns out to be the same consistency. Measure out the amount needed for your recipe!

    You can make your own superfine sugar (especially handy for decorating cookies) by whirling granulated sugar in a blender or clean spice/coffee grinder.

    yes. you can also use salt gravy. or try giving the regular sugar a good ole fashion mashin.

    it all depends, but usually the answer is no.... they do not have the same consistancy AT ALL!!
