    Thoughts: If you control your thoughts, your actions and words will follow.

    This is how it works in general: beliefs cause thoughts/perspectives; thoughts/perspectives cause actions (including words).

    Most important: love God.

    Second: love others.

    Everything else naturally falls into place after that.

    All of those 3 things are equally important, but both actions and words start as thoughts, so that's where sin should be caught and dealt with first.

    This is what man consists of:

    Thoughts = mind

    Actions = deeds

    words

    soul = desires

    breath = from God = God's Spirit

    heart

    The heart is the source of thoughts, actions, words, and desires (Matthew 15:18-20).

    But what is the heart? Well, I have just received incredible revelation! This is what I have found:

    heart = spirit = desire eternity = desire for eternal life (eternal life = the living God)

    Thoughts, of course. Thoughts become words. Words become actions. It makes sense to attack the root of the problem.

    All three must be a priority in the life of a Christian.

    For our thoughts become our actions and our words put our actions in motion.

    Micah 6:8 Do justice, love mercy, walk humbly with God.

    This precept encompasses thoughts, actions and words.

    NonChristian: For your actions. Because thoughts and words are an action so it's all a combination.

    words " its not what goes in a man that corrupts a man, but what comes out "

    "every tree is known by its fruit "

    your thoughts are from the mind and its is flesh, while your heart is spirit, its the very you of you inside the body of flesh.

    your heart can control your tongue, as for your mind it will be replaced when we receive our eternal body's.

    for now, grace is our only hope until that day comes.

    Source(s): James 1:25-27 (King James Version) 25But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. 26If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. 27Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

    You can't really control your emotions and thoughts stem from human emotions however it is alot easier to control your words and actions if you have the mentality of an adult..
