i love, LOVE, both, but the Nirvana one just has this totally different feel to it with the last song and all...
BQ: In Utero

Alice in Chains, by far. I say this because I'm a bigger fan of AiC, but really, I haven't listened to Nirvana since I was 16, and all I cared about then was Nevermind. AiC pulled off the acoustic thing really well, though. Nutshell unplugged is one of the greatest songs I've ever heard.
BQ2: Jar of Flies
Bq3: Black Gives Way to Blue. It's okay. I really like that song Check My Brain, but I never found another song off the album that sticks as well as that song.

Nirvana, by far. I do love the AIC Unplugged, but it's no contest as far as I'm concerned. Kurt's vocal performance on the Lead Belly cover alone, was enough to solidify that whole concert as the best acoustic performance in MTV history. No question.
BQ: In Utero
BQ2: Facelift, as of now. I still have two or three albums to go through, though.
BQ3: I've heard good and bad things about it. I've only listened to a few songs, and that was a while back, and they're okay, but nothing like the days of Layne.

Alice in Chains, maybe because I'm a bigger Alice fan... but Jerry is in his game with an acoustic guitar as much as an electric, and Layne's appearance on Unplugged is one of the most morbid performances I've ever seen
BQ: Bleach
BQ2: Dirt
BQ3: I was reluctant too, but Jerry was always the main songwriter in the band so even though it sounds a little different it definitely has that Alice in Chains vibe... and I'll be damned if "Your Decision" doesn't lift up right out of that album and right into Sap or Jar of Flies

Kurt's raw voice is stunning
BQ; Even though Nevermind is their best work, I sway towards In Utero.
