I don't think happiness is as overrated as sorrow is underrated.

It is overrated. You don't have to be strung out on endorphins to continue living life. A lot of people ask me if I'm ok because i'm not smiling. Are you really concerned for my state of mind? Or are you so insecure about yourself that you must confirm why I'm not smiling?
Also, what is happiness? Some say happiness if the emotional result of helping an old woman with her groceries all the way home. While others feel like their day got off to a good start because they encountered a man who's tripped and cracked his head wide open on the sidewalk. Happiness for me, is the day a body falls out of the air and lands right in front of me (jumper). Only then, will happiness wash over me, when i realize i'm not alone in my thinking.

I am not sure what happiness is. When I think happy, I think jungle gyms, and games of tag, hopscotch, and all that other childish stuff. I much more prefer fulfillment and satisfaction, and so yes, I do think think that.

Source(s): would you rather know sad happiness or happy sadness? - 1 decade ago
yes especially as it is temporal and unstable.
