I don't know that you could call me recent, but I am an adult convert (age 26, now 35) and so I do have strong memories of it, as opposed to maybe someone who feels like they've "always been a Christian". I was sitting on my couch, watching PBS, and I had a religious experience (and no, I'm not joking). I wasn't looking for it, I wasn't in a church, it was just like God was speaking to me though not really with words and not audibly. It was like He was whispering His secrets into my ear. The feeling as I can best describe it was intense. Like I wasn't sure I was going to make it through it, almost. I was almost relieved when it was over, and I knew my life would never be the same because I could never then unknow what I now knew.

I am not a recent convert but I can tell you that what brought me to Jesus was the Holy Spirit. People may have talked to me about Jesus however it is only the Spirit that can truly draw you to Himself. Frankly there was NO feeling when I first came to Jesus. Feelings can fade. It was truth that set me free and even today when I don't feel anything I still know that I am saved and He is there. If I based my faith on feelings I would have left a long time ago.

It feels all warm and tingly. I remember falling, but not hitting my head. Doctors say I have something called "brain damamamamge", but I know I'm truly savveded.
