Is a career in Medical Transcription pretty rewarding?

Would like to hear from someone who has this currently as their career. I've done a bone of research and it sounds like I'd be a good match for this. I want to be in the medical field, and would like to work in a hospital with the option to maybe work from home one day too. Is a certificate in this field pretty well worht it? Is it ard to find a job in that right now? Thanks for any help.

Can you type all day long? I know I can't.

I use Dragon Naturallyspeaking 11 to actually write this answer. I use the same program to do all my nursing notes (at work). It's very accurate. Many doctors are using it now. There is a "medical" version that has all the words built in. In my case, I have to "teach" it a new word when it doesn't know.

Medical transcription is very good field that pays you well. You can work from home. There is no value for certificate in this field. Quality pays you. If you want certificate you can approach AAMT/AHDI.
