Estimating MTOE from Mega-Watts?

Okay I asked a similar question earlier but i need to rephrase it.

I need to estimate how much MTOE 2228 Mega-watts produces in the year 2000.

To do this I am supposed to use the equation E = (C * F) * t where C is capacity (2228) and F is given as .84. Time is supposed to be for one year. Which in hours is 8760.

When I plug everything in I get 1871 MTOE for my answer. Is that right? I feel like I'm doing something wrong.

    What is MTOE?

I am suspicious of multiplying megawatts times years and coming up with something useful.
