Where do they get all those American flags you always see burning in the news footage of the middle east?

Are they making them?

    Almost invariably, local 'government' agencies stage such 'spontaneous' demonstrations - assemble stooges - supply the flags and effigies - ensuring TV reporters, cameramen and sound crew are tipped off as to where and when such inflamed anti-American protests are available for world-wide screening.

    China probably makes a lot of money selling American flags in the middle east.

    They usually just make them. They are usually low quality poorly made flags.
