What would you do if your teacher turned out to be a ex Nazi General?

That escaped punishment by paying his way to the US/Canada with gold fillings taken from the

dead. He teaches your History class, 76 years old & a pretty likable guy.

Would you become his pupil & keep his secret. Or Turn him in for justice.

There's a twist!

He is also your Grandfather & still a pretty likable guy.

What would you do?

What you mean turn him in for justice? I'm sorry, but this is the stupidest question i've ever seen posted on Yahoo Answers. I wouldn't do anything. What happened had happened, regardless I'm pretty sure most Generals were following orders for their own survival. As it had been once said in a book "No species have survived without the will to live."

Brother, if this is a remember of obeying the regulation, then sure you ought to record him! it is your accountability to society, despite in case you like your neighbor a lot. besides the undeniable fact that, in case you experience that the regulation is unjust and that your neighbor is being wrongfully well-known, then rather you ought to warn your neighbor to be careful and get away the hunt. do no longer enable the undeniable fact that he's an ex-Nazi exchange your judgement on the situation. you recognize, because of the fact this is EX-nazi and not modern Nazi, which ability he stopped and so for you to not blame him yet be happy that he replaced his approaches. additionally, you ought to bear in mind that, think he's from Germany, maximum Germans grew to become individuals of the Nazi occasion just to slot in, even nevertheless they did no longer dedicate any terrible crime themselves. this is as though the Republican occasion did some terrible crime, and now you prefer all occasion individuals (on paper) to go through. Why? possibly they do no longer even help what their occasion did.

The Germans started the war in 1939 and it lasted until 1945... Exactly how could your teacher be only 76?

If he was born in 1945 he would be 65 years old now...

Perhaps you should pay more attention to history..

He's had a long time to think about what he did wrong. If he is morally ok now, doesn't seem like anything else needs to be done.

I had a German professor whose parents were Nazis. He said they are ashamed and kinda confused on it. It was just the culture of Germany at that time. They weren't necessarily evil.

It's hard to judge someone unless you know more about it.

I would become his pupil and find out how he was able to obtain the rank of General before he turned 12.

That would have made him about 7 when the war started and around 11 when it ended. I would ask how he managed to make general so young?

I once had a German language professor that used to be a Hitler Nazi youth.

He was very intelligent, Americanized, and a great teacher.

Hitler used the social, political, and economic environment of his day to manipulated millions.

    That was yesterday!

I was wondering why he always wore that iron cross around his neck in class.
