If you were certain global warming was anthropogenic, would you still try to persuade people it isn't?

Would be nearly impossible to do. Because your true nature will leak out between the lines anyway.

It wouldn't be that hard to spot one, unless he was a nihilist I guess.

A nihilist is a man who judges of the world as it is that it ought not to be, and of the world as it ought to be that it does not exist. According to this view, our existence (action, suffering, willing, feeling) has no meaning: the pathos of 'in vain' is the nihilists' pathos — at the same time, as pathos, an inconsistency on the part of the nihilists

Yes, if I wanted a job in talk radio.

Does it count if your PR department acknowledges global warming as a reality and a problem while you fund everyone you can find who will be loud about denial?

I believe global warming and I passed quaternary geology. Another silly answer from a denier--certainly nothing in quaternary geology would conflict with belief in AGW. But then that denier has lied in his answers before to advance his political beliefs.

OF course not, but it isn't so what is the point. Lame argument trying to persuade people who are ignorant and have nothing more than a liberal agenda to fulfill. Being certain would take some sort of brain power which in the USA is becoming faster and faster difficult to find. Persuasion is like hypnotizing some to anothers beliefs. As the earth turns so will the arguments for and against the certain lies which are only to put fear in some and hatred in others

No doubt there are people who fit that description, for example a number of 'scientists' who work for right-wing think tanks.

Personally I'm certain the current global warming is anthropogenic, and try to help others understand the science.

I suspect for many denialist the answer is "If it were in my best interest." David pretty much said that by saying it will costs to much to reduce CO2 even if he thought it was caused by human activity. Therefore he pretends it is not caused by man because he doesn't want to have to deal with it. Makes sense. The perfect model of economic man.
