My sewing machine. Can you help me with this needle issue?

My sewing machine is a Euro Pro 372H, if that helps.

Okay, so here's the deal. The needle of the machine, when put into the bobbin area, goes sideways instead of into the hole it's meant to go in.

Here is a picture.

Does anyone know what is wrong, and how a I might fix it?

Update:

It is in correctly, I made sure a few times.

Put in a new needle, making sure the flat side of the needle shank is facing the correct direction - check the manual to be sure. This is important. Installed wrong and the top thread will not form a stitch with the bobbin thread.

If this does not fix the situation and you are sure the shuttle, race, bobbin case and bobbin or correctly installed (check the maintenance section of the manual for all but the bobbin spool and that will be in the threading and bobbin winding section) then the machine's timing may need to be adjusted by a sewing machine service tech.

more questions: is your needle in the right way there is a front and back, and it has to be pushed up into the shaft all the way. As far as I know the needle does not go into the bobbin.
