Do it scare you when people refer to God...?

...as "our lord, creator, and master?" The master thing just rubs me wrong. If god is all loving, why does he have to be a master? Why is there so much judgement? If he forgives all, loves all, then why does one have to follow Jesus or some other doctrine to get into heaven? Does this honestly make sense to anyone?

People "give" themselves to god, and I'm not ever sure what they mean by that. And some folks claim god "speaks" to them. Yet, I am certain that if there was a god, he wouldn't have a human voice, or at the very least, no human would be able to withstand it. In the bible, he spoke through things like burning bushes, but these people think they are better than Moses and have god's personal endorsements. How can so many people be so sucked into these beliefs? And how can each of them be 100% convinced that their god, their holy book, their beliefs are the "one true" god and belief systems?

I guess you can't answer all of those questions, but I'll be really happy if you can answer any. Many thanks!

I completely agree with you on the first paragraph, it sounds idiotic and wrong. "how can each of them be 100% convinced that their god, their holy book, their beliefs are the "one true" god and belief systems?" They were brainwashed as children by parents while the logical parts of their brain were still growing. They got support and were rewarded with pride from such parents so religion was a thing that was forever to be seen as a good thing in their minds.

I haven't heard of someone calling God "master", but I suppose it would be because they have been created by Him.

When people 'give' themselves to God, they are dedicating their lives to His work.

I have heard God speak to me twice. Once he said "You/I (both of those words at the same time but the I was kind of like me thinking it) have to help her" and "She's lying". Both of those times it was stronger than a thought and I didn't think it, it just came.

No it's just annoying that they haven't grown up enough to stop believing in an imaginary sky wizard.

I've never heard anyone refer to God as "master" in my lifetime, to be honest.

oh my god have you ever heard of paraphrasing?

ok fine so maybe it doesn't say master but it does say god is omnipitent. so he is all powerful and has power to do anything.

so hes the master of everything, according to the bible.

    "giving themselves to god" question--

It is more like giving yourself to jesus. putting all trust and faith in him.

    the "master" question--

I've never heard anyone say master

    but...

So what if they call him master? He is still loving and forgiving.
