Costumes at Comic-con?
I've never been to comic-con but might be going in 2011. Do people dress up as movie/TV/comic book/anime characters at comic con? Is it the normal thing to do? I know pretty much everyone dresses in costumes for A-kon. Does everyone dress up for Comic-con?

You can expect at any anime-fest, comic-con, or any thing that invovles japan, manga, comics, or anime to see people dressed up in their costumes. I've been to a few similar events and people tend to dress up. So no worries, you'll definitely fit in if you dress up or go in regular clothes!

I'd say majority dress in normal, casual clothes. There are people dressed in costumes or relevant fashion styles(steampunk, lolita). A huge amount of people do dress up but it seems there's more people in regular clothes compared to an anime convention I went to.
