Here's some overreactions from week 1 that some fans may be making. Anybody have any others?

- Mike Singletary goes from the guy that turned the Niners around to "tarnishing his career as a player".

- Colts will miss the playoffs.

- Arian Foster = GOAT!!!

- Vick back to the old Vick

- Joe Flacco = Derek Anderson

- Mark Sanchez = Matt Leinart

- Mike Williams has turned his career around

Colts will make the playoffs. Nothing is guaranteed in life but you can almost count on the Colts making the playoffs. Just because you start 0-1 doesn't mean you will miss the playoffs. The Patriots started 0-1 and the Bills were the team that beat them. Many people thought the sky was falling and the Billis were going to win the division. Of course the Bills ended up missing the playoffs. I love how 1 game gets people to think their team is the best team in the NFL. It is only one week and your never as good as you think in week 1 nor your never as bad. The season last 16 games so you can go 1-15 like they Panthers did one time after starting 1-0 so people need to just chill about the Colts.

    1. Agree. Pete Carrol is a good coach and had his team ready.

    2. I doubt the colts will miss the playoffs, but recent history shows teams that lose the superbowl do tend to.

    3. Didn't actually see him play much

    4. The old vick wasn't that good anyways. I doubt he's much different that the 70 rated passer we know and love

    5. Flacco still is missing some passes and making some odd choices. He reminds me of an innacurate bledsoe at the moment. Bledsoe had a habit of making bad decisions but was very strong and very accurate with the ball, Flacco is strong but seems to miss some passes at times. The ravens left some points on the field yesterday.

    6. Matt Leinart's not THAT BAD. Give the guy a break.

    7. He hasn't made it any worse which is an improvement.

Vick back to the old Vick --- Thats gotta be #1.

I can see most of the ones you put out there with exception to the Colts missing the playoffs and Joe Flacco being Derek Anderson.

I havent heard anyone saying either of those things. I think you slipped that Joe Flacco thing in there because of the outcome on Monday Night Football. My opinion.

I don't know if all of those are overreactions. The first two, certainly. As for the others...

Vick: there was never any proof that Vick ever lost a step. He was never given the opportunity to flash his ability, and at the first chance, he ran with it and showed he hasn't lost it. There's no 'back to the old Vick', the old VIck was always there, but just like Warner, he was buried by negative perceptions.

Flacco: I never got what people saw in Flacco. He's a decent QB with flashes of ability, but he'll never be an elite QB capable of taking a team to greatness. Defense has, does and will be what the Ravens are built on. Luckily they don't need a great QB, just one that doesn't screw up too much. And Flacco doesn't screw up too much.

Sanchez: Same goes for Sanchez. He is not, has not and never will be great. Perhaps he's not as terrible as Leinart, but he doesn't have the mental tougness to take his game to the next level. The fear in his eyes last night was not imagined, and keeps him from taking the risks that true elite QBs must take.

Williams: Considering he ruined his career and was out of football for 2 years and somehow played himself into a number one receiver job kind of proves he's turned his career around. Even if he never breaks records or gets into the Pro Bowl, he made it back. Only time will show if he gets to the next level, but he's got a chance.

Yes, being from Indiana, I've heard the one about the Colts missing the Playoffs quite a bit the past few days. I swear, some of my fellow Colts fans are spoiled little idiots! They claim to be fans, but as soon as the unthinkable happens (a loss) they start acting like a bunch of bandwagoners.

It's one game, that's it. The season is far from over.

As a dog lover, I HATE Vick with a passion and would love it if he blew out both knees and also broke his neck in the process and became a quad-plegic.

BUT he did look like the old Vick. He looked overweight and slow last season but he looked real fast last Sunday.

Mark Sanchez had nothing to do with his receivers dropping passes, fumbling, committing penalties and not knowing where the 1st down marker was.

Great list. A couple more that I thought of...

The Packers are in deep trouble without Ryan Grant. (Does it suck for them - yes, but since when is he irreplaceable)

The Vikings are done because they looked bad offensively in week one. (Forget that they only lost by 5 points to the champs)

The Jets are done for the same reason. (Even though they lost by a point to the Ravens)

The new AFC South champion is the Texans!

Incident between Jets, Azteca reporter Sainz, draws cultural, moral lines! (How about she is a hot chick and football players are horny. Can't that be the end of the story?)

Actually, that any really good team e.g. the Colts, Vikes, Jets, Chargers, because they lost A game are now in deep trouble. Totally ridiculous!

Vick back to the old Vick = He's still the same, he didn't pull a victory out the helmet or anything!
