Poll and survey: What effect will the state of the current economy and high unemployment have on young people?

I grew up in a stable environment with a stay at home mom and a dad who had the same job for 40+ years. However, with our economic crisis, children are being forced out of their homes with their parents, forced to abandon their beloved pets, and see their parents struggle with unemployment creating instability in their childhood memories. Do you think this will create a society more prone to criminal activity and violence? What long term effect do you think it would have? I never see anything like this on the news.
