current election procedures?
With the current technology Why can't we have a popular vote election? Get rid of the electoral college and primaries. It doesn't matter if we have 100 people on the ballot. We have the means to do it. A special primary just in my county cost over 2 million dollars this month. I know it would cost millions to convert the system. Neither party has any problem spending millions in pork projects. I'm tired of have only the wealthiest candidates on the general election ballot, maybe not the most desirable

We can't have popular vote elections because the states with the biggest populations will always be the ones who get to choose the President of the United States.
A state like Rhode Island can't possibly stand against a state like New York.
