What does it mean when I access Facebook and it says "Service Unavailable - DNS failure"?
I restart my computer and I still can't access Facebook. Please help

It wont even work on my psp..
but i read what is actually going on and this is whats happening:
"Computers on the internet address each other by numbers, so if you wanted to do a Google search, your computer would first need to contact 74.125.95.103. That's a little hard to remember, it's much easier for humans to type in 'google.com' but your computer needs to figure out that string of numbers, called an IP address. To do that, there is a service called DNS, or Domain Name Service, provded by your internet service which your computer first contacts and sends the name of the site you wish to access, in this case 'google.com'. DNS sends back an IP address, such as 74.125.95.103, which your computer can then use to access Google."

At this time it appears that Facebook is having some issues. I am having problems with mine right now also and have got some error message and a note saying they are aware of a problem.

It's not your computer.DNS means Domain Name Server. If that has problems then you cannot access the account. It may not be able to translate the name into the IP address. You just have to wait until it's corrected.

The server is down at the moment.
It's not just your computer.You can access it by phone but that's the only way.
I'm seeing some people are commenting from my yahoo messenger.So there are people on it.

it's not working for like half the globe. it's utterly ridiculous. rumor has it that Facebook is facing legal issues. other rumors say that Facebook is just updating a bunch of stuff. Believe what you want, but the server's still down regardless.

It just means that something is wrong with the website and its currently unavailable. They're probably fixing it and it probably will be up and running in no time.

It should be back up now, but it could go down any time. Just keep trying to get on it every couple of seconds.
Mine is working now, but it's sssllllooooowwwww :/
