Putting a PCI-E 2.0 x16 card in a PCI-E x16 slot?
What's the difference between PCI-E 2.0 x16 and PCI-E x16? Bandwidth?
And would putting a PCI-E 2.0 x16 card in a PCI-E x16 slot create bad bottlenecks? Or would it only make a slight impact on performance?

All versions of PCI-E are backwards compatible, so version 2.0 or 2.1 cards work in regular 1.0 slots and vice-versa.
While the 2.0 spec allows for higher maximum bandwidth, only single cards in the $300 and higher price range (Or multiple $250 and higher cards in SLI/Crossfire) are fast enough for the version to affect performance at all. If you're talking about $150 or $100 or $60 cards, their maximum speed is well below the limits of the original PCI-E x16 specification. The extra bandwidth provided by version 2.0 is meaningless to them anyway.

I looked at your specs. It does have a PCI-E 16x slot in it. Though before putting a graphics card in there, you only have a 250 watt power supply in it. The card will not run, nor will your computer turn on unless you put a very very low power graphics card in. Id suggest upgrading your power supply.

well it will be compatible
and obviously there will be slight bottleneck
i have Asus 5750 HD , which is PCI Ex 2.0 , and i have 1.0 slot ,
it gets bottlenecked
but again i have a P4 , so not sure who is bottlenecking it and how much
but there won't be bad bottlenecks , like card not giving even 75% performance

if its 1 of the new high end cards it will make it the bottleneck, but any middle of the road vid cards would be fine. pcie2 has twice the bandwidth but that doesnt mean the card can use it all
