Broke my computer HELP?

Hi I was doing some regular maintenance on my Granddaughters HP laptop with the exception of a program i installed from PC World..

http://www.iobit.com/systemcare.html.

I ran the scan and it found 1400 errors and most of them were in the registry and all was repaired. I one a disc scan right after and now i cant do anything because the wireless assistant is not working along with everything else No matter what i do i get the message not working, even system restore isn't working. I attempted to try a fix Manuel..all the files i see says disabled so i get no help on how to get my WIRELESS assistant back so it can find my router but no luck. do anyone have a idea for this Delma ? thank you

Update:

My System Restore isnt working either

From what you describe it sounds like the registry cleaner messed up. If that program is legit (the link you gave does not work) it should have made a backup of your registry before making any changes. I would first try to restore the original registry.

Instead of using a "cure all" type of repair utility I would only tried the tried and true repair methods: install and run antivirus and firewall and anitmalware. If the computer has a specific problem google for that problem and try to fix that problem. I personally don't trust any utility that says it finds hundreds of problems and will fix them all.

Welcome to the club. Been there done that with the best of intentions on my dad´s 3 laptops. Install the recovery disc, reboot and keep tapping the f10 key until it asks you to boot from cd rom. Then select cd-rom and follow the prompts for repair and worse case...format. No recovery disc? reboot and keep tapping the f10 key, maybe the recovery disc is built into a secret spot on the hard drive. Good luck.
