I need a good idea for storing clothes....dressers take up too much space?
I am so sick of buying dressers and the tracks break right away, even when i spend good money on them. They just aren't made very good nowadays. I have three girls and they have a TON of clothes. I have downsized even. They each have a 4 drawer dresser and one extra for them to share, and a double closet and a single closet full. Those plastic bins at Walmart are too cheap, tried them. I also have hanging closet organizers for their underwear and pjs. I want an idea that will condense their wardrobe to where their rooms don't look like nothing but a bunch of dressers. Any ideas, pictures would be great. Thank you

Utilize every square inch you can.. Get some underbed risers- raise the bed(s) & use underbed storage containers to store seasonal clothing/shoes etc... If the closet has a shelf you may want to take it down and install 2 closet rods OR buy one that merely hangs off the first rod.. This will double your closet space. Also, the type of hangers you use will determine how much space you save as well. If you can get "flocked" hangers they are thin and covered w/ velour so the clothes stay put.. If you have "outfits" that go together hang them on a single hanger to save space & time when getting out clothing. I have a cheapie dresser I use for my boys underwear, socks & pj's and store it in the closet as well. You can also install small hooks for accessories like scarves, purses and bags. Shoe organizer on the door is very handy. You can buy new tracks for dressers at the hardware store & fix what you already have. I have two toddler boys & they share a closet but, each have their own dresser.. This system works out well. I also have a hanging organizer I use to organize their school clothing for the week.. Good Luck

Do leg extensions on bed in order to raise height of bed. Bins with side pull out drawers for under bed. Do row on each side of bed.
Mount to floor shelves to wall. Add hinged doors onto shelf unit. Shelves for folded clothing is easy to see without breakable tracks. Of course, they will have to keep things folded to keep it looking neat. Magnets may be best choice for keeping doors closed.
