What do you think of the name Leigha?
It's like Leigh but with an a, pronounced Leah. For a girl, obviously. I'm not sure if it's a legit spelling, and generally I don't like to mess around with names, but has anyone encountered this one? Would people know how to say it?
It's Lee-ah. As in, the name Leigh with an a.

I think it is horrible...It looks terrible...Just give the girl the name with the proper spelling...LEAH...

I like it, but actually prefer the literal spelling Leah. I know a girl named Leah, she pronounces it Lee-yah. I think most people would get the name spelled Leigha, but it does leave room for people to question.

I prefer Leah.
It's a legitimate spelling. I went to school with a girl named Leigha. I think people would generally know how to say it. It's pretty simple.

Rosalita, I sort of like it and it is of course a bit different, but lets face the fact that it will constantly get mispelled and as you mentioned..."Would people know how to say it?". A person has to live with their name for a long time and nobody likes it mispelled. Or asked, how to spell or ponuce it. Go for the Leigh or the Leah.

Well if you don't like to mess around with names, why spell it like that?? Confused.
If you like the name Leah......then just spell it the normal way and the way it sounds. Another spelling of Leah is Leia......both are the 'norm'.....
Leigha......is it strange...and you wonder if it's a boys name.
You asked for an opinion...that is mine. Hope it helps.

I think it looks ridiculous and she would have to correct people on her name about 800 times a week because they spell it the RIGHT way (Leah).
Nice try though.

The spelling seems a bit overcomplicated to me - and yes, I think it could lead to difficulties in pronunciation - is it Leah or Laya?
