My computer fell over and now won't boot.?
I knocked my computer on its side and now when I try to turn it on it makes a rapid beeping sound and I get an error message. Before I go and buy a new one, is there a way I can fix it? The hard drive sounds like it's coming on properly but it won't finish the boot sequence.
Oh wow, it fixed itself! I left it off for about ten minutes and then it booted normally. This is still an open question because I'm curious what that problem might have been...

that rapid beep is ur ram stick has pop out a little, u need to open up the case & push them back in, they have two clips 1 at the top & 1 at the bottom, push them in till those clips close down on the ram sticks, ur should have 4 slots for ram but usually these only 2 in there, go to you tube for a picture or google, just push them back in & restart>:) btw turn comp. off & ground urself

Something might have came loose inside of your computer like the ram or something. If you are computer savy you might be able to go inside of the computer and do a run through. Or you can take it to a place like best buy and have them do it for you.

It could've been manyt hings, mainly the heatsink smashing into the processor, moving it out of place or just being hit hard. When my pc is on and it gets kicked or hit it automatiaclly resets. either that or it set itself off as a safety precaution (as you said it fixed itself)
