  • Two apps don't work on my phone but they used to.?

I have two apps on my android that immediately display the error message "Unfortunately _____ has stopped." Both of them used to work fine but now that's all I get. I've done everything I can think of, including reinstall of the apps and a factory reset. It's an older telephone version 4.4.4 Is there anything else I can try? (One of the apps that doesn't work is Google Maps, so it's not a problem with the app.)

  • Can I read a whole thread on Twitter navigating from one of the replies?

If I see a tweet with "@" several people which is a reply to a tweet, is there a way to navigate to the original thread so I can see what they are talking about? The reply doesn't make any sense unless you know what the tweet said that they are replying to.

  • Help me identify this old song (video link)?

I (attempted to) tap out this tune on a virtual piano (I think the high C is an octave too low) but I hope someone can tell me the name of it. (I think it's from the Civil War era) http://www.endangerous.com/piano.mp4

  • How to disable "honk when locked" on a 1999 Subaru?

I bought a 1999 Subaru Outback and when I close my door with the locks engaged it honks annoyingly. That doesn't serve any purpose and I don't like the noise. In the owners manual, it explains how to turn it off with a remote key, but I only have a regular key for it. Can I turn the horn notification off?

  • Wireless card suddenly quit picking up any signals (desktop)?

Suddenly the wireless card on my desktop computer isn't picking up any signal, from my modem or any modems nearby. My laptop picks up my modem signal fine, and I reset the modem just to be sure. In Windows control panel it says my wifi card is working properly. I can pick up signals normally when I install a WLAN adapter. System restore did not fix the problem. What else can I try?

  • Why do they carry the ball by the middle in rugby?

I've never played rugby but I played football in high school and when you carry the ball you hold it by tucking one point in your elbow and holding the other point in your hand. When I watch rugby on TV, they always carry the ball by the middle, or the round part of it. Seems as though it would be much easier to fumble it carrying it this way. Is there a regulation that you can't tuck it away like a football or what's the reason?

  • Can't perform a system restore Windows 7?

I get a message saying that my C drive has an error and I must do a disk scan before I can do a system restore. So I restarted my computer and did a disk scan successfully but I still get the same prompt when I try to do a system restore. What can I try next?

  • Max amount of RAM?

A friend of mine gave me a computer that he has had for some time. It has 1GB of factory installed RAM (512 GB in the two banks on the motherboard) and I want to replace the RAM sticks.

I researched the model (Compaq Presario SR5030NX) and apparently 2GB is the maximum amount of memory I can install.)

It's a 32 bit OS and my question is, what would happen if I put 4 GB in it? Does the 2 GB limit have something to do with the model of the motherboard? So would I be wasting money buying a couple of 2 GB RAM sticks? (I already have 2 1 GB sticks that I took from another computer...)

  • Curious how it works?

I have an electronic mousetrap that uses four AA batteries and delivers a high voltage shock that kills the mouse. I m wondering how four 1.5 volt batteries achieve the voltage sufficient for this.

  • How do you claim winnings from a state lottery?

  • My YouTube video thumbnail only displays 8 views?

When I click on the video it shows that I have 197 views but the thumbnail says only 8 views. This is the first video I have put on YouTube, and just for a reference I'll include the URL (It's just a skydive stunt, not an ad...) Obviously I'd like the display to show the correct number of views, so I'm curious why the thumbnail is stuck at 8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ze0aC1nuekI

  • Golf penalty question?

A friend of mine hit his ball into a hazard. The ball was on dry land, but inside the red stakes. He took four different irons into the hazard, selected one and dropped the other three on the ground. I jokingly declared that he had just grounded three clubs in a hazard and wondered how many strokes he should take for the penalty. We were just playing for fun so we didn't actually make him take a penalty, but I began wondering, what is the USGA rule for such a thing? One penalty for grounding the clubs or three penalties, one for each club?

  • Is it legal to create a tutorial?

I've been working on a series of tutorials on how to use vector drawing software. These consist of live screen captures with narration, and you can clearly see the brand of software I'm using to draw. I've also been mentioning the brand name in the narration. If I were to offer the tutorials for sale online, is there a possibility that I'm violating a copyright law or otherwise doing anything that could get me into legal trouble?

  • Could I have damaged my faucet?

I installed a bathroom sink faucet and only used one wrench to tighten the connecting lines rather than using one to hold the pipe and another to tighten the hose. The faucet is working fine but I got to thinking, is there a chance I may have damaged the copper connector and if so is it possible for the faucet to develop a leak over time?

  • How do Install ethernet driver?

I reloaded Windows and now can't connect to the internet. The problem seems to be with the ethernet controller and I think I can solve it by installing a new driver. I downloaded several different drivers that should be compatible with my system, but I can't get the computer to recognize any...the error message is that no driver can be found...even when I browse and click right on it. Am I leaving a step out? (It wants me to connect to the internet to search for the driver and obviously I can't)

  • What is the difference between reheating food in a crock pot and cooking in it?

I've read that you should not reheat food in a crock pot because it heats up slowly and the food can remain in the "danger zone" (under 140 degrees) too long and bacteria may grow. But you can cook raw food in the same crock pot and it takes just as long to get to 140 degrees, so why is cooking considered safe and heating isn't?

  • My computer fell over and now won't boot.?

I knocked my computer on its side and now when I try to turn it on it makes a rapid beeping sound and I get an error message. Before I go and buy a new one, is there a way I can fix it? The hard drive sounds like it's coming on properly but it won't finish the boot sequence.
