Are most Democrats really Progressives or have they just been suckered?

Well, when it comes to such matters as this, you have to kind of understand how difficult is must be for people who have been life long Democrats to see the havoc their Party has wreaked on our society in the last few years. Don't expect them to simply admit it to pollsters or even themselves very easily. Just look at the Midterm Election results in a few weeks and you will find the answer. A lot of Democrats, who really are disgusted will not vote at all. They will eventually come around as they did after Carter when there was an enormous shift back to the Right referred to as "Regan Democrats". While most Union Leadership has bee taken over by Socialists and Progressives, the rank and file tend to be more pragmatic. In fact, when Reagan ran for reelection, the Teamsters even endorsed him.

The Democrat party has been taken over by Progressives. They are almost Socialist. The Republicans are better, but not by much. I really do believe Americans who understand what made this country great and who are not afraid to work are going to come out and put us back on the right path in November. It will be a long and hard road, and we will all have to give, but it is the right thing to do for our children. All these government checks are going to have to be looked at. There are really tough decisions to be made. We have to stop paying people because they are a drug addict or an alcoholic. We have to stop rewarding unwed mothers for having baby after baby. We have to stop giving citizenship to babys who have illegal mothers. In order to save Social Security we need to take off the cap where you stop paying in after the 90 or 100 thousand dollar limit. This will not be popular, but if you really look at it, a man who pays Social Security on the entire $40 thousand a year he makes, pays a much higher percentage than a man that makes $250 thousand, but does not pay on the last $150 thousand. Look at it as a "flat tax" on Social Security. There are lots more cuts to be made and all Presidents should have the line item veto, that would be another tool to stop the pork.

We are caring and once primarily the middle class. We also have been educated the hard way

and are capable of seeing all that President Obama already has accomplished.

We are Democrats with touches of liberalism, conservatism and independence. In other words,

well rounded.

This couldn't be coming from a person that supports a party that put our country is a place we would have never dreamed of and then continue to say that their guys are the best.

Lots of Democrats who don't pay attention to what's going on in Washington and just vote so because they always have and don't realize how their party has been taken over by socialists.
