Any guesses as to what my boy is?

That boy is a Heinz 57! Those bright blue eyes tell me it's most likely not sheperd that gives him his sheperdyness - (made up words r fun) - I think he's probably mostly husky and pit bull. Hope your not anti pit - they are very good dogs but stubborn :) There could also be some boxer, rhodesian ridgeback, or even cane corso in there. But I'm pretty sure it's more than 2 breeds. You should do a dna test and let us know!

The black colored back ish on him makes me think a Shepherd of some sort... But, it's hard to say?

EDIT: yes, the blue eyes are from merle, which is a genetic trait. However, APBTs are NOT a breed that produces merle. Any supposed APBT that has merle traits (spotted coat, blue eyes) is a mixed bred dog, and NOT a purebred APBT.

He almost looks like a "Catahoula Bulldog" this isnt a purebred its a mutt but is used for boar hunting. I think he is a Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, with some type of bully breed. Catahoulas have blue eyes too. Catahoulas are actually pretty common in the south for hog hunting.

I don't see Bully or Boxer at all.

I see Catahoula Leopard Dog, and possibly some Ridgeback. I think he's a Catahoula/Ridgeback :)

The muzzle is too long, and he is too tall to have any Pit Bull in him - He has NONE of the features an APBT does, but he is gorgeous nonetheless.

I think maybe rhodesian ridgeback and pit bull, He reminds me of my dog quite a bit, a lab mix (? on the mixed part) but I am told my dog looks part pit which may be why your dog reminds me of mine. The description of your dog is a lot like mine, he weighs the same not overly muscular, is intelligent, and goofy.

You can not guess his mix just because of his pretty blue eyes.

There is a genetic defect that can result in blue eyes in almost any breed that can produce Merle.

Our friend has what is called a "blue" pitbull and she has a smokey grayish blue coat with blue eyes like your dogs.

But to Me..he looks like a mix of American Bully {pitt} and Bloodhound or maybe even Australian cattle dog.

Gosh!! A little bit of everything. A few breeds popped into my head: Shepherd, APBT, Husky, Rottie, Ridgeback.. just a good ol' Heinz 57!

He looks like Boxer and Ridgeback to me. I have no idea where the blue eyes came from,but he is a beautiful dog.

definitely not a cane corso! but he does in a way look like a rodeshian ridgeback..but he has no ridgeback..like everyone is saying, he looks like a ridgeback/pitbull/catahoula mix...lol
