Why does my nose bleed every day.?
I'm not even kidding when I say I have a nosebleed almost every day. I wake up with them sometimes, I get them while driving, on the golf course, on the ski slopes, while I'm sitting at my desk at work, while I'm in the shower. It does not matter where, my nose keeps bleeding. I never got a nose bleed in my life till about 4 years ago, now I get them all the time. I went to a DR for my ear, and I had him look at my nose and he said I have a deviated septum, but apparently nose bleeds are no big deal to him. I just want them to stop, they kind of suck when you're sitting at your desk and blood gets all over your new shirt.
What is wrong with me?

There are many reasons for nosebleeds, including dry climate and altitude. There is a reason you get nosebleeds every day and you need to determine what that reason is. You may be able to solve the problem. I would recommend you schedule an appointment with an Otolaryngologist (ENT doctor).

Hi LJ,
I used to get nosebleeds a lot too. While this may not explain all the reasons for nosebleeds, when I have recommended this to people, I have found that almost 100% of the time, the nosebleeds either stop completely or lessen greatly. In my case and many others it could be due to lack of Vitamin K that you are getting in your diet.
What events can indicate a need for more high-vitamin K foods?
* Excessive bleeding, including heavy menstrual bleeding, gum bleeding, bleeding within the digestive tract, or nosebleeding
* Easy bruising
* Problems with calcification of the blood vessels or heart valves
* Problems with bone fracture or bone weakening
Excellent sources of vitamin K include: spinach, Brussels sprouts, Swiss chard, green beans, asparagus, broccoli, kale and mustard greens. Very good sources include green peas and carrots.
I hope this helps, it sure has for me, and your body will thank you for all the extra nutrients that you will be getting from eating these veggies.
Cheers

Dry air is the primary reason for bloody nose and once a tiny vessel is ruptured it is difficult to get it to heal so you have repeated episodes. Try getting some moisture into your air and use saline spray. Be careful not to blow the nose hard until it heals completely.
