Why do the kings new jerseys suck so much?

Their alright in my opinion although I can completely see why somebody wouldn't like them. I do know a lot of Kings fans do like those jerseys, maybe its just nostalgia. The no names thing is just because its a throw back game to celebrate Vancouver's 40th anniversary and in 1970, names weren't on the back of jerseys.

Interesting side story to that, I don't know where I heard it but apparently when the NHL decided to mandate names on the back of jerseys, Leafs owner Harold Ballard (In this case, the same Ballard who would vote against expansion to Vancouver) didn't agree with the decision. After being told to make sure his players had names on their jerseys or face the consequences, he responded... sort of. The Leafs came out the next game with white jerseys and white font for the names (obviously making the names pretty much not at all visible).

Those jerseys are their original jerseys that the Kings wore from 1967 through 1982, before altering the design while keeping the colours (The Lakers and Kings had the same owner at the time and had the same coilours)>

Those jerseys are very popular sales items being amongst the top sellers of non-current uniforms.

For ***** sake. It's for this one game. Throwback jersey. Did you even pay attention to the game at all? I'm pretty sure it was announced SEVERAL times that it was the 40th anniversary of the first game for the Canucks, which was against the Kings. They are wearing the same jerseys they wore 40 years ago, which had no name.

They are replicas of their 1970 jerseys.

40 years ago tonight the Canucks and Kings played the first game in Canucks history, and as part of the Canucks 40th Anniversary celebration both teams are wearing the same style (almost) uniforms they wore for that game.

I wouldn't say they suck it's just that they are throwbacks to their 70's jerseys. Style that is 30 years old won't look great. I don't particularly like them but they do bring back memories of the Triple Crown days.

There not that ugly , but not too nice either. They're just wearing them for tonight because it's the 40th anniversary. There are no names because 40 years ago there were no names on the back.

New jersey and the LA Kings are tough teams! What the hell are you talking about?

I wish they still had those. I have the Alternate jersey currently. The new ones or still cool but it's so different it's aweome.

I actually like the look of them, and I LOVED Quick's pads and glove, blocker, and mask to go along with the old uni.

Theyre just for this game thank god, they are pretty ugly in my opinion. No names I guess just to be old school..
