Computer makes weird, disturbing buzzing sound.?

Okay, so the story is, my OS is broken in my old Laptop.

I wanted to give it to a friend, so I attempted to fix it.

Well, I was finally able to get to the option that lets you run in Safe Mode. So, I clicked that option, and a big command line comes up.

Its frozen, and obviously glitched. It kept flashing "Press Escape to Cancel", but it didn't do anything. Some of the symbols were in another alphabet. I think it was Arabic.

So, I held down the power button till it turned off, waited a few second then click the power button. Nothing happened.

So, I clicked it one more time, and a really loud Kind of "Buzzing" sound appeared. I'm not religious, but it almost sounded demonic. It was terrifying and disturbing, and lasted about 2 seconds. Yet, the power was still off.

It gave me such a fright that I threw the Laptop slightly and IIMMEDIATELY unplugged it.

It hasn't done anything since, but I'm still freaked out about it.

What happened to my computer? I really need to know. Has this ever happened before?

I know this sounds like a made up story, but it's true. Please, I need help.

Update:

Its a Netbook, and doesn't have any CD/DVD/Bluray drives.

The command line didn't freeze up, it was just waiting for you to type in the proper words/symbols to get it going. Unfortunately that's beyond the scope of average folks - it's in the realm of nerds (bless them). The buzz may have been because you didn't wait long enough to restart - usually 30 seconds. The only way you will know if it is salvageable is to let a pro look at it.

LOL Demon sounds perhaps your HDD was a bit of in a damaged state or the fans or Drives of some kind were some how damaged or clogged or covered in some dust or maybe you are crazy about the Demon sayings and was just something else lol damn I would have just been like cool Demon Netbook sweet I like evil like creatures they are cool. You were freaked out lol funny. I love all dark stuff around wish I had a computer that sounded like na demon damn that would be epic as heck for me but my computer sounds like a freaking jet or something because of the cooling in it and the fans and the speeds of my fans too! DEMON NETBOOKS AND COMPUTER FTW!

One of two things could be wrong, the HDD could have lost its balance, if that is the case you will hear a clicking sound along with the hiss, otherwise, and most likely the fan is either dismounted or lost it’s balancing as well, most fans can be replaced with a bit of work… but it shouldn’t be anything serious… fans and HDD’s can be changed, I am assuming this is a laptop…

Sounds like your dvd/cd player had a stroke. I'm betting it had a disc in it at the time, right?

After you thew it, has it done ANYTHING since?

Those DVD demons don't like being thrown around like a salad bowl in a food fight!

I'm afraid that is impossible for anyone to help you because is not a software problem. Is a hardware problem so you need to go to service with that laptop.Sorry for your loss.
