What do you think is the reason why UN gave Israel to the Jews?

IF the Bible is real, those in UN should know that according to the Bible, by giving the land to them, it will lead to more conflicts and ultimately armageddon. So why do you think they still did such a thing?

Is this a self-fulfilling prophecy?

Update:

Ok then let's look at it another way, why choose Israel? I know that no matter where they choose, the country being split will not be happy. But why are they "following" the Bible?

If it is to prevent another Holocaust, Palestine may be able to cause another Holocaust too? And if all the Jews were to be gathered in one place, this Holocaust will be worse than the last won't it?

(I don't mean to insult another religion. I am really pretty ignorant on happenings in that part of the world.)

Update 2:

another = any (above)

The UN recommended partitioning Palestine as a way of STOPPING the existing violent conflict between the Arabs and Jews, which started in 1920 when Jews bought land and settled there. Under the incitement of their leader, the Mufti, Arabs attacked Jews repeatedly, most notably in the 1929 massacre of the Jewish community of Hebron. The Jews learned to defend themselves, and the situation evolved into what was basically a civil war. The UN proposed one Jewish state and one Arab state. The Jews were willing to accept this, but the Arabs were not, and they announced their intention to annihilate the Jews, and went to war against them. But the Jews prevailed.

The UN are not prophets. They had no way of knowing what would happen. They were simply trying to settle a conflict. It had nothing to do with the Bible. They hoped the Jews and Arabs would agree to a partition.

"I know that no matter where they choose, the country being split will not be happy." - Why?? The only reason I can think of is that the Arabs want all of Palestine to themselves, and they want all the Jews out - just like in Jordan, where there are no living Jews. This is because they hate Jews, since long before the state of Israel was established. Only dead Jews will make them happy, so why should the UN feel obligated to give them that kind of happiness?

And it HAS prevented another Holocaust, because the Jews live in their own country and built an army to defend themselves, which they've done remarkably well on numerous occasions. Had they continued to live as a defenseless minority scattered all over Europe, there might have been another Holocaust. The Nazis did a FINE job of CONCENTRATING the Jews into concentration camps where they could be conveniently and efficiently exterminated.

Why did the UN give Jordan to the Hashimites? They have less connection to that land than the Jews. The reasoning was not religious, but secular.

--Jews had lived there for more than 4 thousand years, continously. That is longer than anyone else.

--Jews had purchased most of the land on which the country was formed.

--The Jews had a distinct language, culture, and, as the Arab League would soon learn, military. There is the principle of self-determination of peoples. Applied to the Jews, it means that, even though they are a minority in the ME, they still should have political self-determination in one country of their own. Even if this offends Muslims, who tend to believe that everyone in a predominant Muslim population should either be Muslims or dhimmis.

--The Peel Commision of 1939 concluded that the only way to reconcile the demands of both the Arabs and the Jews was a Partition of Palestine.

Well, really because the UN didn't give Israel anything. GOD gave them the land. And they gave some away trying to make peace. Which is impossible. So they are under Gods protection.

Just letting you know that Israel wasn't given to us just because the Bible says so.. You should look for the reasons of the creation of Israel and you will find different rights, mostly non-religious.

I think the logic was: it happened to them (without any official orders), therefore it should happen to them (with OUR orders).

Basically the logic is that genocide justifies genocide.

It's all part of God's plan. Israel BELONGS to the Jews. When they officially became a nation again in 1948, the clock to Christ's return began ticking.......

Very exciting time to be alive right now as a believer. Jesus is right around the corner. The rapture of His church will be any time now
