Should alcohol drinks be legal?

Yes, absolutely. If you look at the 13 years of prohibition in the US it was hands down the worst crime rates US history. Murders more than tripled in the first year alone. People were making "bathtub gin" which they were cutting with chemicals like formaldehyde! This was causing blindness and even more death. The US government lost 13 billion dollars in revenue and had to increase their funding on revenuers by almost $20 billion. Mind you both those numbers are in 1920's/1930's amounts. When you account for inflation those numbers are in the trillions.

There isn't anything wrong with the responsible use of alcohol. Instead of banning alcohol a better idea is to create a federal or state education program similar to how we get or drivers licenses. Studies show the more you know about alcohol, the more you are educated on it at an earlier age. And I'm talking a real education and not someone standing up and saying alcohol is bad, but educating people about BAC and ABV etc.. The more likely you are to NOT abuse alcohol in the future.
