Which of these gfx cards would work best for gnu/linux for these games?

I'm using Linux Mint 9. P4 1.5ghz Willamette core. 1gb ram.

At the moment I have a Radeon 9600 pro in an AGP 4x slot. However I'm lead to believe that this can only use open source drivers (which I am using). Someone has given me a Geforce 5200 PCI card and a GeForce MX4000 AGP card. Would either of these two (since they're made by Nvidia, so I can use the proprietary drivers) up my gfx performance?

I know they're both a downgrade from the 9600 pro, but I thought maybe the performance enhancement of the proprietary drivers may balace it.

The games I'll be playing are Linux ports of Quake 3 and UT2003. And Star Wars Republic Commando and Medal Of Honour: Allied Assault under Wine.

All thoughts greatly appreciated :)

Update:

Rex - Please note my budget for a new gfx card is £0.00. I rely on hand-outs to upgrade my PC. I'm afraid the cards I have are my only options.
