When will leaves stop falling?

Around what date will the leaves be done falling off trees? I don't want sarcastic answers, I'm just wondering, based on years past, when leaves will be done falling. I live in the midwest. Will there be any more leaves on the trees by November 21st?

Thanks

I believe that each year could be different, based on what type of trees you are speaking of, the changes in the weather, and how much wind and rain there will be. If you get a freeze before the 21st, there is likely to be no leaves left. If it should be mild, no wind and rain, perhaps you'll still have a few. Mother Nature is the only one who knows for sure! :)

It all depends on what type of tree and how fast the weather changes.

Also Northern midwest will have it's leaves fall before southern midwest. But that's common sense :P

But mid to late November is when all or almost all the leaves are gone.

You should be able to have them cleaned up by thanksgiving.

They all drop their leaves at different times.

I have 5 maples in my yard. The silver maples drop their leaves last.

One of them is huge, and it is the very LAST tree in the neighborhood to drop its leaves.

And there are sooo many. I'm always raking and vaccuuming them 2 weeks after Halloween.

Then we're done with the leaf bags in the driveway.

(I live in northeaster Kansas....your region might drop leaves at a later/earlier date).

    Happy Fall!

When the trees run out of leaves to drop.

A good hard freeze, and some wind will speed up the process.
