Gas central heating wont come on?

Is this the first time you have tried to use the central heating since last Winter?

If so, it maybe that there is a switch on the front panel which needs to be set to Water and Central Heating. It may have been switched to Water Only (D.H.W.....Domestic Hot Water) during the summer.

Have a look at your instruction booklet.

If all else fails, try ringing the manufacturer, or see if they have a website. Look for a problem page. Sometimes you can pay a small ammount and chat with an engineer, which is much cheaper than calling a plumber.

You do not have any choice but to get the makers rep. in and pay through the nose.

Worcester boilers have these wireless thermostats quite often. check wall thermostat batteries

and receiver.

Is your pilot light out? If you can do it yourself - I think if you search this question on yahoo there are answers that tell you how to do this. If not, you might have to have a maintenance person or contractor come out and see if the pilot light needs to be lit.
