Why do evangelical christians confuse these three distinct concepts as one thing?

1) The literal rebirth of your human spirit BY the HS (John 3:6 deut 30:6): (born again, spirit rebiirth , circumcision of the heart circumcision of Christ, quickened, newness of life, and many other names for this concept), 2) the indwelling of God in the person of the Holy Spirit, Baptism of fire, baptism of the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit, 3) Salvation, defined as: WHERE you will spend eternity: saved FROM HELL to Heaven. Saved FROM your just punishment for sin, to an eternity WITH GOD in heaven. "Translated from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light" "Salvation" PROPERLY divided is JUST THIS, and to add all the other benefits of having salvation to it is poor eisogesis and blurs the concept to meaninglessness, imho. Neo evangelism has made a spam out of these three distinct and seperate concepts in thier striving to justify thier salvific (at the time of salvation) regeneration /baptism of the holy Spirit, doctrine. this is DIRECTLY related to thier making col 2: 10-13 and Rom. 6: 3-6 a mere philosophical statement or LIE, as to when we are born again (spirit rebirthed). Why have they forsaken the biblical injunction to: 2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. ???

Update:

wrong JL utterly garbage and spam

Update 2:

NO vincent, they are NOT "inseprable" they are three distinct concept that can be shown to have distinct natures and relative experiences . you a theological spam maker if you think they are . see Acts 8:15-17 and acts 10: 44-47 if you think that regeneration at the time of water baptism is the SAME as the Indwelling of the Holy Spirit. tyhey are not the same NOR is salvation as a simple straightforward concept the SAME concept as regeneration or the baptism OF the HS ... spam spam spam sir and a shameful wrong dividing of the word.

Update 3:

XY your a very very confused soul. you reply is meaningless drivel. it neither addresses the question nor reveals a grasp of the concepts by you. blah blah blah to you sir.

Update 4:

jack true to form: another moronic reply...

Update 5:

querty, > what!?

Update 6:

yes marj, many do diagree, that is sort of the point i am trying to make here but really it's that we have allowed doctrines of men to blind us to the clarity and simplicity of the scriptures. The rebirth of your human spirit is not the same THING as the indwelling of the holy Spirit, which is not the same CONCEPT as "where we spend eternity" (salvation).

Update 7:

No Bruce they are not related in a contextual sense but only in a familial sense. The fact that you CAN be "saved" but NOT baptised (spirit rebirth) is clear from the account of the thief on the Cross. Jesus said you need spirit rebirth to be part of the KINGDOM, which can be IN YOU (luke17:21) and is NOT semanticaly equal to heaven OR salvation AS WORDS OR CONCEPTS. Catholics ADDED the doctrine of baptismal salvation BY IGNORING the fact that its done by US and not by Jesus on the cross, making it a works based salvation doctrine. This POISONED the truth and cause the evangelicals to further corrupt the truth by creating an entirely new doctrine called "salvational regeneration as the indwelling of the HS", a complete mess of terms and concepts. BOTH the evangelical AND the catholic positions are therefore heretical. Since regeneration IS done at the time of water baptism BY GOD, but this is NOT salvific, rather only a matter of your fitness for the kingdom and spiritual maturity.

Update 8:

d meadows do you know that someone who teaches wrongly will suffer greater condemnation? you reply is utterly confused and useless to me. the rebirth of the human spirit is not attempting to make the flesh spiritual and we are not talking about salvation but regeneration.

They mostly just believe what they were taught in their churches. You know churches disagree with each other as to how to interpret the Scriptures.

John 3:6; Flesh cannot be made into spirit - a person must experience a spiritual rebirth [v7],

one must born again: one must by faith accept Christ's sacrifice on Calvary's Cross through His death, burial, and resurrection for the remission of their sins.

Without the confession of ones sins there is no forgiveness. [Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9'.

    Lifeshare:

Regeneration, refers to the new birth John 3:3-7; 2 Corinthians 5:17; it is the Holy Spirit who regenerates [ v6; Titus 3:5] In John 3:5 the water is symbolic of the Word of God [Eph. 5:26; 1Peter 1:23]

Being born again, baptism, and salvation are all related. The reason evangelicals confuse them is because they are presented in poetic discourse in John 3, and evangelicals rarely have the advantage of the contemporary testimony of the Fathers of the Church (see link).

We are born again through baptism, the sacrament by which we are adopted into God's family as his children. Baptism is necessary, but not sufficient for salvation.

tldr but I understand what you're saying.

Being born again ≠ born of God

Being born again ≠ indwelling the Holy Spirit

indwelling of the Holy Spirit ≠ born of God

salvation = go to heaven through the blood of Jesus (usually) (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=201010... )

Having the Trinity/Oneness God in your heart, especially the Holy Spirit coupled with the blood of Jesus (Psalm 51:10; Hebrews 10:22) is the way to heaven.

born of God = maturity, completion, perfected in faith attained through continual repentance (Ephesians 4:30; 1 John 3:9; 5:18).

The indwelling of the Holy Spirit = presence of God

Coming upon of the Holy Spirit = privilege, not permanent, surest presence of God

The Holy Spirit brings conviction. Heed His conviction and eventually, you will not be able to sin because God keeps you from sinning. God will also not allow Satan to afflict you.

You really should use some spacing in your rant-ish question.

Are you attaching salvation to how one presents themselves?

If you are, then I ask you to define * distinctly * what makes one "approved" and what does not. What action, actions or lack of action shows that I am or am not "toeing the line".

Be specific. Don't muck about with nebulous terms such as "backsliding" and "falling away".

Show me specifically how I am not a Christian because of this or that action.

If my salvation is dependent on my subsequent works, then it is not grace. Grace plus works is no longer grace.

I think these 'three concepts' are only known to you.

    Because the three are inseparable.

When you put it like that I'm not surprised that they confuse them.
