What kinds of cheeses are similar to Sauvagine ?

I tried this cheese at Lapin Saute in Quebec and it was absolutely amazing ... it was like eating butter!!!

I tried doing a bit of searching on the net but couldn't find anything that talked about comparisons of cheeses. I am so not a cheese aficionado and liking cheese that much really caught me by surprise ... I want more....

Sauvagine is a washed rind cow's milk cheese...so you could always find another brand although the flavor may be different. You could always try to find a local gourmet cheese shop to see if they could order this cheese for you...or just go looking for a washed rind cow's milk cheese to taste!

Or...what about finding a cheese shop in Quebec and seeing if they will ship to you? Maybe try http://www.yannickfromagerie.ca/??

    Good luck!
