What are the top 5 non-food "must haves" in your kitchen?
I have tons of stuff that I use all the time in the kitchen, but my top 5 I could not live without would be:
1. My cast-iron skillet - the one I have is over 50 years old!
2. A good paring knife
3. A cookie sheet
4. My big crockpot
5. A jumbo casserole dish
What 5 items could you not do without?

Hey Sandypaw, when are you leaving? To answer you.
1. Serrated knife, chef's knife and paring knife.
2. Cast Iron Skillet, Cast iron pot, and dutch oven.
3. Baking trays, Muffins, cupcakes, cakes, baking sheets Roasting pans.
4. KITCHENAID mixer with all the added attachments.
5. Food Processor, Blender, and my old style Milk shake/thick shake maker
Those are the five besides the metal measuring cups, and spoons. But the most important thing I think we have all omitted, is the modern day stove, which has made life easy.

My paring knife is what I use the most, and no one touches it under penalty of something really bad.
I also have this round rubber thing that is flat and shaped like a large flour, it comes in so handy opening jars so I don't have to struggle, it's been a life saver.
Glass pie plates, since I cook for two I can fit 4 of these in the oven and cook everything at once, and they clean up easy.
Paper cupcake/muffin things. I use those a lot.
A first aid kit. I'm kind of clutzy around hot things so stand back, I might splash.
