I have an Ithica SKB Mod 600 O/U in 12 Ga. How do I remove the butt pad?
No visible screwholes in the butt pad & I don't want to pry & possibly mar the stock. The stock is just a tad too long for my taste so I'm thinking the removal of the stock "honeycomb" pad & the installation of a standard plate might be a good solution. Help, Pheasant season is coming & I'd like to try this sweetheart out.
3 AnswersHunting7 years agowhat is the average dealer markup on cruiser style MC in the US?
That's pretty much the gist of it-I'm dealing on a new MC & trying to determine how much "wiggle room" the dealer has. A friend in the business indicates that the markup on add-ons is 200-300 % but I haven't been able to determine what the markup on the base price is. I know everyone has to make a profit but it doesn't have to be all from me.

1 AnswerChicago8 years agoDoes anyone manufacture an affordable panel sander for the home shop?
I buy a lot of rough cut lumber from local sources, I have a delta planer but when gluing up panels I could use a panel sander. All i've seen so far are made for commercial applications (cabinet makers & such) way beyond a DIY budget. I saw one years ago that used the table saw as a power source but I think it was homemade or maybe a kit? Thanks in advance for your assistance
2 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)9 years agoKey Lime Pie recipe, can anyone offer a suggestion?
I recently had Key Lime pie at a local diner, (I asked, they don't share the recipes) It was thin, less than 1/2 inch & had the appearance of stained glass. You could actually see the crust thru the filling. Any one have a similar recipe? It was the best I've ever had!
2 AnswersCooking & Recipes10 years agoHelp with antique "pocket blockers" or converters.?
I have recently came into possession of a set of "pocket blockers" (I'm at a loss as to what they are called) IE 6 cast iron & rubber devices which fill the pockets on a regular table to convert it to a carom or billiards table. Basically, they are a K66 style rubber attached to a cast iron device which clamps into the pocket using a hook over the pocket iron & a tensioning device which pull them tight into the pocket. I want to know what they are properly called & any history you know or a reference to antique equipment of this type

2 AnswersOther - Arts & Humanities1 decade agoMC electrical problem, I'm stumped?
2000 Honda Shadow ACE 750, Turn signals take a long time to come on, sometimes as long as 60 seconds. When they do finally kick in everything is fine. Turn them off & back on, the delay is still there. Bulbs are OK, voltage is within normal range, sockets cleaned of corrosion, (none found) bulbs reinstalled with NoOx. Both front & back, left & right have the same problem. My first thought is the flasher unit but I want to know for sure as Honda wants $$$ for a new one. I've never seen a flasher fail in this manner b4. They normally work 100% or nothing. Suggestions? & Thanx
