Please help, Urgent!!! Ankle Injury?

So I had an MRI on the 22nd of September because of ankle pain, and I was diagnosed with an avulsion fracture on my posterior malleolus(back of tibia) so I was put in a walking boot for 4 weeks, and I had a follow up with a doctor and he told me it was no longer broken through an X-Ray and that it healed... But that was my 3rd X-ray, and every time it was negative...

So now and I am now starting physical therapy again. But during the exercises, I am getting moderate to sharp pains in the area of my injury.... Did my fracture not heal?? I'm so depressed, because this process has dragged out for almost 7 months... Any insight would be greatly appeciated....
