Most codes now call for a 3'0" door for an exterior door. and most all these doors are 6'8". Calling for a rough opening of 38" x 82". GL

the height is standard to home builders who do not wish to put in a custom door however the width can be anything. Go to you local hardware store such as Lowe's and look at the exterior doors and ask them about widths, you will be surprised at how many you can get!

80" is standard for the height. Most all household furnishings (washer, dryer, refrigerator, freezer, sofas, recliners, tables, etc.) require a minimum 36" opening for easy access. I've seen many instances that complete doors have to be removed from modern refrigerators in order to be moved inside homes. Most modern homes have a 72" opening (french door). They are getting bigger every year.

You are going to want solid core doors. Hollow core are made for interior use. Solid wood, metal, or fiberglass. They are all good. No idea about price as there are too many variables.

80" is pretty much standard for the height.

30", or 32" or 36" are the norms for the width.

70"h x 32" w is the most common. There are a lot of varying factors in interior door measurements.
