Trying to set up a romantic dinner in the middle of the forest, how do I light up the area around the table?
I have no power outlet, that's the main problem. I could do candles, but I would prefer if I could find any good ideas to light up the area a little bit more.

Here's a picture of Lumanaries. They are candles in paper bags weighted down with sand. Make sure to not lite the forest down - or get the electric candles and then you don't have to worry. You can just use regular lunch sized brown bags that are thin. They make ones that have cut outs like this - you can probably find them in a party supply store like Party City or they are available on line.

Look at your local garden center and find the solar lights. You just stick them in the ground and they absorb the sun's light during the day to provide lighting at night. You could set them up several hours ahead of time. Mix them with tikki torches and candles.

Battery operated fairy lights?
They are quite bright, create a soft glow and a VERY magical atmosphere! No chances of burning down the forest either- they let off no heat!

If I were you I'd try some paper lanterns, or tiki torches. I think it would provide a much better atmosphere then a spot light or any other unnatural light.

Lanterns. You can get battery powered ones and hang them from the low branches on the tree. Very cute idea :)
