How clutch is Mark Sanchez?

Even his interceptions are clutch.

In case you weren't watching the game today, it was 3rd and 14 with 1:35 left in regulation and Mark throws a bomb which is picked off by Joe Haden at the Cleveland 3 yard line, where he's promptly tackled. If Haden had just batted the ball down the Browns would have had a much better shot at getting good field position for a late drive.

But in all seriousness, its a little early to be deeming him the next Joe Montana, but he's looked like the kind of QB that wins big games, even going back to last year. He's great on third down, is very slippery and mobile in the pocket, has great pocket presence and awareness and seems to have a knack for moving the chains.

I will try not to show favoritism since I am a Jets/Giants fan. Sanchez is not and will not be the next Joe Montana, just wanted to get that out of the way. Sanchez has proved clutch recently, but he tends to have those kinds of games in spurts. What did Sanchez do last week against Detroit for the first 55 min... NOTHING!!! And this is Detroit!!! This week, he barely came back to beat the Browns... THE BROWNS!!! You have to give him his props for coming away with these wins, but lets be honest. The Jets receivers made some great catches in both wins (Dustin Keller and company). Also, look what Sanchez did in week 1 against Baltimore. He couldn't come through against a great defense in a final drive effort. And he did absolutely nothing against the Packers coming off their bye. Sanchez needs to prove that he cold beat a great defense before I give him any props. He needs to play for 60 min, not just the last 5.

He shouldn't of been in a situation where he need to be clutch.

Nick Folk should of made that 25 yard field goal...and also the other one he missed in regulation and in OT.

Yeah I agree, Mark Sanchez is proving himself more and more. Excellent job by Sanchez today and he still requires more work but he is on his way to being a good QB so far.

I'm a Jets fan, but he needs to prove it a few more times in bigger spots for me to say that he is clutch. Though so far he is on the right track.

I'm loving it, he was my bye-week replacement at QB today on my fantasy team and helped me out big.
